Go See the movie CARS!

Fantastic Movie! I took my 7yr. old son and he loved it and was cheering throughout the movie. We went to a dinner show type of movie theather here in Tampa and it was the first time I ever had a Sams while watching a movie. AWESOME! I can't wait for the new movie to come out next week.

Yes, I want to see that but it will probably have to wait for video. There's a bunch of movies coming out now but finding the time is just so difficult. The wife wants to see  "Click", I guess I wouldn't mind seeing that either. I want to see Superman Returns next week too.

Then comes Pirates of the Caribbean, possibly Lady in The Water

and then definately Talladega Nights!

Out of all of the movies you just named, none of them will hold a candle to CARS.

It is the best racing movie I have seen.

Best ever.

Also, I don't care for those people who say animation is only for kids. Plot your little one down in front of the boob tube and let me throw on a couple hours of South Park, the Simpsons, Family Guy etc, and we'll see if your mind is changed. Animation just lets the directors, writers and producers have much greater freedom when it comes to the action on screen and the actors/actresses that can play the roles.

Days of thunder was maybe a B-. True racing fans know that you don't drive like that on a superspeedway and win. Also, how could Cole Trickle be in the title hunt missing a race and having trouble like he did. Anyone see the shot with the two cars the same (can't remember if it was the 26 or the 33).

Stroker Ace was funny, but not great. B+, and thats a stretch. Great for its time, but seemed a bit juvenile. Driving in a chicken suit? A plucked chicken car? Too tall Jones lifting the car? Again, funny, but it played too much on the Nascar stereotypes of dumb hicks (as fans, drivers and mechanics/crew members) and rich, obnoxious owners.

6 Pack (with Kenny Rogers) C. Kids as a crew? Going from the big time to dirt tracks and back? Ask Jack Pennington or Jeff Purvis how easy that is. Funny movie with some good historical shots, but not a great racing movie.

JMO. Feel free to share yours.

A to A-

Still plays a little to the stereotypes, but not as much as Talladega Nights will.

Don't get upset Lou, I still plan to go see Talladega Nights and with Will Farrell in it, i expect to laugh my butt off.

I agree completely............CARS was definately one of the better movies all this year.

and how can it not be a good racing movie when it has Linda Petty in it???

OK, never got to see CARS before, but we went tonight. And that socalled animated movie in some spots was like watching the real thing! I never lost interest one time, but my six yr boy did lay his head on mom for that same slow point in the middle. This movie will help nascar alot to recruit new fans for the next generation. I give it an A grade also, sure some points were copied but I was laughing out loud sometimes. Great movie, its a must see, even for grownups. Cant wait for the DVD!
