With 7 races to go only 5 drivers have a shot at the Busch Championship, and their all Cup drivers. Paul Menard is the highest Busch regular and he was eliminated tonight.
The Busch Series does not need a chase. Although the chase has made it exciting in the Cup Series the past two seasons, it is not the end all, be all of racing.
What the Busch Series needs is some more non-companion events. Other options would be using the pony cars (mustangs, camaros, etc) or some version of the current cars that would not give the drivers a 300 mile paying test session on saturday afternoon. Completely different tires would also help.
With fewer cup drivers *Busch whackers" if you will, the points would not be as spread out as they are.
