Because thanks to you, you opened my eyes up to something this weekend.
If for some reason I can not get on to the forum before the deadline, I'm pretty much screwed. If I submit my picks to a member early in the week, I can always change drivers later in the week if I want. If I do and there's a problem with those picks or I don't get them on time, I have the first set of picks to fall back on with no penalty.
Just so I am up to speed, if you send your picks in on Tues, then send your picks 3 hrs AFTER qualifying, like you did last week, we go with the picks you sent to Matt?
I'm not sure that I am comfortable with how this topic is going.
It seems to me that JJR is implying that I would lie for the Prez and let him get away with something shady. That is most certainly not the case.
Yes, he likes Jr. and I like Jr. I think he generally does a pretty damn good job with this league. I voted for no penalty as I stated because of the rules, the message board played no part. Just the Lou's word and past experiences that he is a stand up guy.
Could he pulling the wool over my eyes? possible, but not likely.
All that said, if I were to catch him cheating, I would say something. Back when the council was created, I expressed that I had no interest in the V.P. position because of life outside of fantasy sports, that still holds true.
The new rules are that he submit his picks to some team in the league, he chose me and no council member objected. My position is that I will save all emails from him regarding his picks and if there is a question, I will share those emails with the council, but I don't see the need to forward each set of picks from him every week. (my reasoning for this is the same as above, I wouldn't want to start something else up because I couldn't forward them quick enough to the council because I am doing something in fantasy football, playing with my son, babysitting my daughter, etc. etc.)
That's why I picked you Matt. I feel like you are the most un-biased person on the council and would certainely say something if I somehow cheated.... which I never have and never would.
Matt, you are missing the whole pt to this. Why should the entire league trust you and Lou when Lou doesnt trust the league?
Is it ok for me to send my picks to Speedy? Of course not.
The fact is YOU may trust Lou but there are 35 teams out there who dont know Lou, all they see is a guy who says he shouldnt have to post his picks.
You voted not to allow a penalty, why? because it was Lou, no other reason, if I had changed my pick 3 hrs after you would not have taken my word for it.
The league lost alot credibility with the embarassing vote we did.
Lou made a misstake we all have made, and he didnt have to pay.
If Lous sends his picks to you on Tues and 4 hrs after qualifying changes them, are we going to allow him to change them again?
First, I will not shutup, I have every right to post, you complain I dont post , well this should be Christmas for you.
Second, I have been harassed by you in emails saying I will be removed of my position and now you have sent my ims saying if I post anymore I will be removed from the league.
From the emails I have been getting and from the posts on this board, the only people who have agreed with you are the one who voted no penalty on the council.
I never said you will be removed from the league if you post anymore, I said I can removed you from the league if you continue to go on and on and one about this stupid picks issue. You're crying because you're not getting your way. You want my picks blasted all over the league for everyone to review and "make sure I'm not cheating".
I say they can be sent to a trusted council member for review. I don't think you could even say he would cheat and help me out even if he's one of "my boys" as you put it. Whatever that means......
I really don't think anyone but you would have a problem with that. If other people think that's a problem if I submit my picks to a council member, please let me know.
BOTTOM LINE SHAWN: THIS IS MY LEAGUE. I own it and I operate it. I have the final word on all things whether you like it or not. The council votes on league matters and act as my advisors, however they do not run the league. You're just upset because you are not in control. Nobody is forcing you to stay here Shawn. If you don't trust the league president, don't like the way the league is run, you have every right to leave.
By my account, of the sixteen other teams in the Chase, 4 of them desperately want a penalty to Lou. While 2 expressed no interest in a penalty being levied. That leaves ten teams that have said nothing.......as usual.
Why bring this up? well, if we are going to look at all motives and actions, we should know that the teams doing the most complaining are the very same ones who stand to gain the most from a penalty had it been decided that way. something to think about.
if you possibly have any concerns about what the council voted on, email me directly.........this subject has gotten old in the boards.......the real question that was at stake for that vote was this: Does the burden of proof rest with Lou proving his innocence or does it rest with his accusors?
and everyone lighten up, ................Lou, you wanted more activity in the boards, you got it.
The council has voted, we will see if they stick to their guns when some else submits picks and changes them after qualifying. I expect the council to vote the same way.

As long as you accept money to be in this league, you have an obligation to play by the rules like everyone else does.....
A small yearly membership fee is required to be able to play in Lucky Dog Racing. To play for one year, the cost is $5.00. You can also buy a 2 year block with a discounted price of $8.00.
No, I think it will be worth the $3 to stick around to see "the case you have built against me" and for the league wide vote on my removal.
From the site The Vice President has his role for life, but can be voted out of office if any actions prove to be detrimental to the league. If such an action is necessary, there would be a hearing scheduled and the entire league would vote on the consequences......
And speaking of time to do things, you are researching an IP address to see who mad a post?

Seems to me like I was complaining and I had absolutely nothing to gain from Lou being penalized. I just wanted to make sure that Lou was not given an advantage by changing his picks after the deadline. For me, its not about him winning or losing, but about it being fair for everyone. Hopefully the championship isn't decided by a small margin or this whole debate will never end.
