Sorry folks, that will be the end of JJR's posts

Sorry everyone has had to put up with his garbage over the past week. You can see why I wanted to get rid of him awhile ago, just because of crap like this. Totally immature person who needs some deep therapy.

Anyway, there will be no more posting by him using fake names since I just changed the board access to have all new users approved by me before they can start posting.

Now let's get back to racing!

you keep hearing everyone saying we are glad he is gone now, but you know what we don't hear?

'all those teams that were backing him and thought he was right'.........Will Riney agreed with him but he actually came to that conclusion first (free thinker)................I wonder where are these teams that agreed with him so passionately? Oh, I guess they were never around.

Maybe they don't want to be banned or stigmatized.

Nobody would be banned unless they flooded the board with garbage posts like Shawn did without letting up.

Well I agreed with Shawn and I'm still here Toozie!! LOL Of course I'm sure I'm considered mental or whatever. Just looked fishy. As far as I can tell, know one will ever know the truth because there's really know way to tell. I can see lou's explination, I can see Shawn's point as well.   Water under the bridge now. Looks like its been settled so if yall really want it to end...shut up about it and lets go racing! Good Luck today everyone.

I agree with you, Speedy!  The league should have tried to at least encourage the VP to complete the season.  He is a league champ and iis n the current Championship Race.  Worse comes to worse, you could have just kept his team and let him race provisionally.   I know the postings annoyed people.  But there are many members who do side with what he is saying, though maybe not his actions on the board.  (You need to separate the two)

Remember this is a Forum, people are going to bitch on here.  All you had to do was respond with, "I understand your position, and it seems unfair, but the Council voted on it."  Instead it became a child's fight between the league's top 2 people in power.  (I was placed in the middle of it at times)  Either one of them could have just ignored the other's postings, and it would have gone away eventually.  (As a 5th grade teacher, I dispense the same kind of advice.)

He is my league VP and takes the Rules section seriously.  As Commissioner, he keeps me in check, although he'd probably say I really don't need it.  Now I am in the uncomfortable position of having people on both sides of this issue in my league.  There are several of my players who went to LD, and several LD players who came here.  Since my league is affiliated with LD, I am sure the issue will surface there sometime soon.

As much as been said about this issue being settled, some don't feel that way, for sure.  Don't be surprised if people even jump off-board the league for good at the end of the season or not participate in any of the Money Pit options.

Shaun asked me what I would do if something similar surfaced in PFL-which would be hard considering I do not look at anyone's picks until I do mine.  I would have to be in a hospital or something.  But, if it did happen, I told Shaun I would probably forfeit that week even if I did my own picks on paper prior to the due time.  While knowing I am right on the inside, on the outside, it may not appear that.  I am always willing to sacrifice my own picks for the league's sake- the league needs to be bigger than the player.

With LD, I would have done one of the following as Commissioner:

a- Since there were 2 sets of picks submitted, I would have used the set with the lower amount of points

b- Disqualify the driver I substituted for, and kept my other 4 drivers

c- Deduct a small amount of points from my total score

Chances are, the points lost, would have been minimal.  However, I would have demonstrated that I am not above the league itself.

Now while I am not a NASCAR fan, I do know that this is a very good league.  Being one of the few members in this league who actually knows the President, I can pretty much guarantee he does not cheat.

Well after Shawn's behavior I wasn't about to plead to him to finish the season. Yes he was a great picker and a loss of champion will be a big hole in the field. However, he did it to himself and I'm sure he's probably regretting it as well. If he didn't give a damn about the league any longer he would have just ignored it. I would have been happy to just keep him off the board for awhile and let him do his picks each week but he was not interested in that.

Ph and in case anyone was interested, my original set of picks were Harvick, Stewart, Newman, Jr. and Stremme. I would have actually finished a couple of spots higher had I kept them. However nobody had a set of my original picks, so that would have been a bigger issue there.

With me submitting to Matt each week now, this wont be an issue any longer.

How come we haven't heard from Steve on this issue yet?  He is a board member and hasn't posted any opinions.
