I just wanted to let everyone know what transpired last night.
On the PFL boards, Shawn and Lou had there usual debates. Lou, who 2 years ago criticized me for trying to censor some comments that personally attacked me, wanted me to censor some of the things Shawn was saying. As long as nothing is personal, I allow anyone to post as they please. We have an amendment to protect us of this and people who don't like the negativity can make the choice not to read the boards.
With that said, your president implied that if I don't "control" my V.P. he would break all association between Lucky Dog and PFL. How childish is that? I am going to control a grown man that lives 3 states away!? This kind of comment upsets me and should upset all members who are involved in both leagues.
Now, Lou has made the unilateral decision of breaking ties and ending any responsibilites of the joint hockey league. He knows very well, that last year, I did about 90-95% of the work in that league. Him leaving his responsibilities hardly puts any extra loads on me. What upsets me is he is letting down players in his own league without even asking his own council to vote on this- many of which are in the hockey league.
The following people are in LD, and hockey: Steve, Greg, Nate, Matt, Will, Shawn, and myself. You may want to ask your president why he makes such rash decisions without any care to me or you. I will let you know one thing though...
The hockey league will continue, without the 5% of help from your president. I want you all to participate and get more LD people in it. While President closes the doors, I am opening them up to you. Many of my current PFL/PFL2 players come from Lucky Dog and are exceptional and add a lot to our league.
During the issue with Shawn/Lou, I have remained mostly neutral and posted good things about Lucky Dog league. I suggested to Lou to make some kind of compromise with Shawn, since I told him they were still involved in various leagues together. Lou chose to ignore that suggestion, good move!
So instead of trying to resolve the issue or ignore it, he now penalyzes others who had nothing to do with the problem. I took the chance long ago, to ask Lou to affiliate the leagues, even though I care little about racing or had a falling out with the president. However, I knew it would benefit both leagues with cross-promotion.
So now I am going to ask my Bureau if they want to break ties, because I realize the importance of having a body of people vote and not A body vote.
Shawn represents the PFL since he is the Vice President. He decided to talk trash about a league that is currently affiliated with the PFL. Since I have no say over what he does over there, I spoke to you about it since he is your Vice Commish. You say you have no control over someone far away, but you should have some control over a person that is a member of the governing body of your league. If someone starting talking trash about the PFL on these boards I would try to talk to that member and askim to please stop.
Shawn was stealing personal pictures off my personal website to use in his profile just to tick me off. I kept asking you to tell him to knock it off. There was no change for awhile. Finally I ashked to message Shawn personally to askim him to stop. His response? You have no control what goes on over here. However, John does so I had to keep asking him. Shawn told me that John never asked him to take them down. Finally after a bout a half hour, John took them down himself.
Yes, it's true you told me I should work out some kind of compromise with Shawn. Since I had no idea what kind of compromise, I asked you.. "what kind"? You never answered me back, so it's not me that ignored it, it was you.
As for the hockey league.... You never tell me what you want me to do with it. I ask you many times what responsibilites you want me to do each week. I handled the picks and posted the scores. You never told me to do anything additional. In fact you never bother talking to me at all unless I message you about something. That's part of an ongoing personal conflict which I won't go into on here.
It was Shawn who wanted to break ties with LDR and you never questioned him about it. He basically told me that as long as LDR was affiliated with PFL, he could post whatever he wants on the board regarding me and the league.
So I'm supposed to just sit back and let him talk trash about me because we're affiliated? What kind of league in their right mind would want to go through that???
Like you I also value the importance of a bureau vote. All council members have equal say in all league matters. However we go by the majority rule. If one person is against something, while 6 other members are for it... We go with the 6 members. The other person just has to deal with it.

Hockey is in a total flux right now. At that time of the year, i also run basketball and golf. Fortunately, someone on the outside has stepped forward to take the void which was unceremoniously (spelling?) created because of rash decisions.
There will be some changes with the league's rules and format, team names will remain. Right now we have 9 players on, so Speedy you are always welcome.
The Total Sports Confederation will have an official announcement coming out in a day or two. It will include various things, including the hockey league.
The site for the hockey league has been basically shut down. Not dead, but in a coma.
I am glad I am the first person to post on this board today, and its 9pm at night.
Just like all other non-participants, you will have to wait for press releases.
Only those who are doing the work on the inside are privy to this knowledge. The Bureau has completed its voting and will announce the results sometime this weekend.
In our league we have a process, a result, and pro-active measures. Hence, the lack of controversy.
Good God, I'm actually watching Rutgers on TV and they actually look good against the Bulls. I should of went to this game lots of empty seats in Tampa Stadium. Since the high school game was sold out..
Well I'll be around the house alot more so I'd be happy to help out with the league if I'm needed. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to computer stuff but I'm trainable and more importantly willing. I personnally think all this stuff has went way too far and everyone should just get over it. We're talkin about friggin games here. It takes two to tango. No one is going to win this thing. A wise man once said "Son let people think your stupid instead of opening your mouth and erasing all doubt."

Sorry Speedy, Shawn has gone haywire over there. Right now they are more interested in posting boring crap about me all over the boards then they are about running any leagues. Sooner or later people over there are gonna wise up to it.
Speedy, I think a number of people are beginning to agree with. Unfortunately for the PFL, Shawn may start driving members away. A very good league has gone downhill quite a bit in the last couple of weeks and it's a shame nothing is being done about it. Don't worry, I have no intention to feed his madness.
