Lucky Dog Racing has grown each year since it's inception in 2004. The trend each year indicates an influx of new members and 2007 should prove to be no different. The Busch Series was created last year to take the overflow of new members. It trained members for the eventual move to the Cup Series and has worked out well. It provides us a great database for the Cup Series and whas given us some great members. The problem is that the league has gotten so popular that the Busch Series is nearly full now. It was designed to run at no more than 54 members. We currently have 50 members, leaving just 4 spots left.
Therefore, to help take on more members who wish to play in Lucky Dog Racing, the President has decided to add another league. Yes, you guessed it.... for the first time, Lucky Dog Racing will be running all three NASCAR series with the addition of the Lucky Dog Racing: Craftsman Truck Series.
Our friends at The Cool Pool have been running a truck series for nearly 2 years now and they plan on expanding to a Busch Series next year as well. Both leagues will be running all 3 series now which will provide many members the opportunity to run in either league.
Details are still being finalized on obtaining help running this third series, however if you are interested, please let me know. We are looking for someone to take control of the weekly picks and maintain different stats as well.
We are not yet accepting membership yet, however we will provide a limited amount of spots available for members running in either the Cup or Truck Series. I would like some long term members in the truck series so the new members can become familiar with them.
Once the Busch Series becomes completely full, members will have to start off in the Truck Series, work themselves into the Busch Series and then eventually the Cup Series. The Cup Series will become an even more elite division than it is now.
More information will be forthcoming during the offseason.
