From NASCAR Scene magazine: Driving sponcers and media members around the 2.66-mile facility last week, Earnhardt Jr. brushed the wall in his Chervrolet Monte Carlo SS pace car. "I was dragging the mirrior all the way around just to let them know how close we (were)" Earnhardt Jr.said. "I gave about 15 rides. The soft wall is (curved) all the way around. It's not straight. I was driving along and it jumped out and slapped the side of the car car and knocked the mirrior off"
