I have been reading the forum off and on this season and quite frankly, I am amazed at how things have gone. I think the intergrity of the forum is lost when we take everything personally. For instance, most recently, Greg brought up a time change for submitting picks. He based this on fairness to all players. Sounds reasonable. Lou seemed offended and voiced so. Then he proceeded to state that the issue had come up previously and was voted on by the council. He offered e-mails to back it up. That was all we needed to know. The issue had been addressed and voted on by council, nothing more nothing less. If any of you have personal issues, take it to instant messenger or e-mail. Keep suggestions on the forum professional. One suggestion I would make is to post on the forum when the council votes on a change. That way we do not submit duplicate suggestions. Also, now might be a good time to ask for any ideas players would like to submit for review during off season.
Will Riney highly reccommended this league and to tell the truth I'm having a great time playing.
Thanks Cindy, I'm glad you are enjoying your time in the league.
I was only offended because Greg decided to single me out, calling me the only person to have an advantage of looking at practice speeds when anyone in the league can have this opportunity if they make it for themself.
I was even more offended when after I told Greg that this idea was submitted to the council... of course he didn't believe me so I had to forward him emails to prove I was telling the truth.
Then he decides to throw my wife's name into the mix.... what for? Please... my wife gets ticked off at me sometimes for the amount of time and effort I put into the league. She gets even more mad when certain people do nothing but complain. I can just see it now if I have to tell her that she needs to post her picks now too. I'm trying my best to stay in front of her... I'll never live it down if she does better than me. From her perfomance in past years, I think it's clear that she gets no favors for me. Just last week she picked a driver who did not make the race. Don't you think if I was playing favorites, I would have allowed her to change him??
After Greg saw that the council decided that it was best to wait until the end of the season to address this matter, Greg thought this was unacceptable and told me I should not listen to the council. Sorry, but that's what the council is there for.
You and John Sherman (Bump And Go) are right though.... these are issues that should not be brought up on the forum. If someone has an issue they should email myself or another council member to submit it for proposal.
Good choice of words for the most part Cindy. We need people to voice their thoughts most of the time, instead of lurking in the shadows. (Way to many luckers) Like for everyone here from you more often. Wish ALL teams would check in and maybe just say hello, or boo or anything. Nice to see you here, and good luck to everyone tonight at my "old" home track. Bet Will claims Charlotte as his home track.

Good choice of word for the most part? No, not for the most part. If the League wants more people to voice their opinions, then League Officials (including all council members and the President) need to learn to respond to any and all posts with respect, class and clarity.
As Dixie Lee said below, personal attacks and further discussion that may/will become personal or are tied to personal issues need to be done off-line in emails, Instant Messages, on the phone or in person at the Big K parking lot (the last item is a joke from NASCAR's good old days and should not be taken serious.) This is a fantasy racing league and should not be taken so serious as to cause people hurt feelings and the like. However, league officials should approach the League as a business man would treat his company.
