For some reason the final race of the season can be very difficult for teams that have a 100% of lap leaders per race in the season. This happened to me in 2004... had lap leaders in every race until the final one of the season. So far that has been the only race that I missed having a driver lead a lap. This year Homestead bit a number of teams the same way, including 4 of the top 5 finishing teams in the standings.
This year there are a bit more teams with 100%. The first two years we only had two teams. This year we have seven. Those teams are:
Helton Motorsports, Speed Demon Racing, Intimidator Racing, Jeff Burton Racing, High Octane, Big Country Motorsports, Quebecois Fan.
Intimidator Racing has the longest active streak going with 72 races. The all time record is 94 races held by Jerry Jones Racing. If he can keep it up, IR will tie the record at Watkins Glen next season and beat it in Michigan.
