Supposedly Mark Martin is choosing not to run the first COT race at Bristol.
If he he steps out of the ride, he will hand the current iron man streak to Jeff Gordon. Although when it comes to Jeff, maybe he'll be the tin man.
At any rate, Martin is currently leading in the Cup standings. Do you think he'll still give up his seat to Regan Smith for Bristol if he's still in the lead or even in the top 5?
When and if that happens, Regan Smith's salary will be very pricey on Lucky Dog's pick form since we list by owner standings rather than driver standings.
i saw an interview where he insisted hes not looking to chase the title just to be runner up again and that he is definitely sitting out bristol but wont promise anything further . i believe hes hoping not to miss being out there . is one helluva streak to walk away from and it has to be hard for him to do .
