Its time to focus on the Championship. Its basically down to 3 teams (sorry Ron). JJR, Green Flag and Intimidator. You can talk Power Gauge, you can talk race wins but bottom line is some of us are concerned with a title run. Also the only stat that really matters is points per race and JJR is on top with 65 per, sure there may be a team or two with 12 or less starts who may have a better number but lets see where they are in 9 starts. Green Flag has made things close, kudos to them, our Prez has gotten back into the chase but I dont think he has enough races to pass 2 teams but its possible. JJR has been playing it safe, protecting the lead and although it has shrunk I have maintained the lead for 12 straight weeks. My top picks Gordon and Johnson have been playing it safe as well and I have suffered because of their misfortune but its money time now and its time to put some distance between 1st and 2nd. I have much respect for the 2nd and 3rd place teams but I predict JJR will hold on and claim the Dale Earnhardt trophy and then rename the trophy.
You should log yourself in when you post. Actually it's your first post in quite awhile. True, I think the top 3 teams will be battling it for the title, however I wouldn't be so quick to count Ron out of it. A couple bad races by you and couple real good races by the other 3 teams, and they will be breathing down your neck. You've had a couple stinkers lately so it's quite possible it could happen. And yes it's possible I could get past you. Over the past 10 races you've scored 455 points. I've scored 595 points, a difference of 140 points, so it can come down to the wire. You say you play it safe with Gordon and Johnson all the time. Their struggles lately have been your struggles as well. Your custom of picking a driver who doesn't even make the race can hurt if Gordon and Johnson have problems in the race. That leaves you with only 2 drivers making points. With the way Hendrick's engines have been lately I'm wary of picking both of them in a race these days, try to mix it up some.
If Green Flag Racing had been able to have the good runs she's had mid point through the season, you'd be playing catch-up right now, but her struggles lately have been your saving grace. It's true, you might win the championship this year, but it won't be a cake walk. Next year will definately be harder with a lot more teams at the start of the season. Some of those good teams like Pitbull, KAM Racing and Syracuse Alpine Racing might be making the run.
Hey RZR don't count me out, I tell got time to kick some butts those in front of me. All I need is for Junior crew to get that car in good condition like it was the first part of this season. I am with the Prez it is Junior crew that has been screwing up the car. Since Junior was in front about a month ago probably some of those other crew members who car were out of the Points catch were probaby trying to sabotage Junior car. Got to change my team again sinc ethe Prez change the Drivers cost again. Well good luck RZR hope you lose some points.
