First , im Francophone ,Write and explain in english is not usual for me . Last week Something Happend and i think ,it's not fear to me ! This is the letter i send to the prez.and the answer. hi louis ! Last Week Adrian Fernandez have is name on the race entry list
With the #5 delphi-chevrolet but for any circumstance he dont drive the car .My question is why y dont receive the point of Kyle bush #5 ? Because
in the rule it's write If a driver that appears on the entry list gets sick, injured or by some other circumstance can not race that weekend, you will get the points of the substitute driver that will drive the same car.
The Prez. Rene, yes I saw that Fernandez was on the list rather than Kyle Busch. I'm not sure why the list that I was using had Fernandez on it rather than Busch. Afterwards I did look at the list that was on NASCAR.com and it had Busch on there. Unfortunately the site that I got the list from had an error and I will not be using it again. If Fernandez really was on the official list and then was replaced by Busch I would give the points. Busch was listed, but because I had Fernandez on, I didn't dock anyone points for him.
>My answer is ; I understand than the entry list y receive from you was not the official list but ,i made my pick with the list who i receive from Lucky dog racing ! I dont want make some problem over you and me , but i think it's not fear to me . The rule is clear ! If a driver that appears on the entry list (it's not write the Nascar.com entry list ) gets sick, injured or by some other circumstance can not race that weekend, you will get the points of the substitute driver that will drive the same car . If you dont apply this rule you have to change the rule for the futur ! Council member , do you think i'm in right to have the #5 points ?
I wait the unanimous jugment of council member and i'M gona respect it !

Rene, unforunately the Busch Series, drivers change rides around too often which can sometimes provide tricky results when putting together entry lists. The site I was using, called MotorsportsOne.com had Adrian Fernandez in the #5 car. I'm not sure if they put the wrong info down or not. This site usually gets the list out early while NASCAR.com will sometimes wait until Wedesday. With a deadline of Thurday, I want to get the picks form up right away. When NASCAR.com posted their list, Kyle Busch was listed in the #5 car. I probably should have double checked the original list with the NASCAR.com list but this site has never given me a problem before, so I didn't even give it a thought. Now I will have to double check the entry lists each week.
With the policy of only using 2 Buschwackers per race, substituting Busch for Fernandez isn't that easy. Unforutunately some people could use that to their advantage if this happens again, to try and get 3 Buschwackers into their picks.
So I'm actually at a loss on this one. I know most of the council members don't get involved with Busch issues, but would like to hear their opinion. Please note, if we did substitute Busch in for Fernandex, we would have a new race winner as well.
If it moves me down a spot I say NO! Just kidding Pres. Hey Pres can you give me some points on that race since I missed that Race. Just kidding again , boy im a joker.
I'm not a member of the Busch Series, but my opinion is this:
If the entry list provided by LuckyDog is incorrect, that is not the fault of each individual team. Most teams rely solely on what is provided by LuckyDog in all three series. Without a previous disclaimer that states each team is responsible for correctness of picks, I think the teams that picked Fernandez in the #5 car should receive points that Busch received for this race.
If this results in a different winner or different standings in the points, so be it. Not ideal but neccesary.
With apoligies to everyone involved, I think this is how it should be handled.
Also, this shouldn't be repeated, there should be that disclaimer from now on in each series to avoid this in the future. (all teams responsible for their own picks, LuckyDog is just a helpful tool)
Either way, before this is acted on in either direction, it should be voted on by the entire council. I especially would love to hear from the Prez's right hand man in the Busch Series, Nathan Helton.
Alright, I heard from our final member and even he was a little split on the decision, but looks like we'll have to bite the bullet on this one and give Kyle Busch's points to those two members who selected Fernandez. This will take the win away from Nelson Motorsports and give it to Budracing8.
From now on there will be a disclaimer on the form that everyone is responsible for checking the race entry lists and if there is a wrong driver on the form, that driver will not be scored.
Also please.... if anyone notices a wrong driver on the form, email me right away so I can change it!
I don't think I wil be linking to motorsportsone.com any longer since they had the wrong driver on there. Foxsports.com gets entry lists out fairly early, so most likely I will be using them or NASCAR.com.
I will fix the results and standings this evening.
Nelson Motorsports, Although I feel that the Council made the right decision ultimately, I feel badly that you are no longer credited with the win eventhough you had a very good week. As a gesture of good faith, I would like to offer to pay for your first year in the Cup series whenever it becomes available if you are interested in joining the Cup Series.
Tim Nelson is our salesman at Trinity Marine. I got him to join Lucky Dog last year, we had raced together at Yahoo for about 4 years and I told him he needed to check out this site. He said he would like to run in the Busch series. I dont see him alot because he travels alot, I seen him back in December and we were talking racing like always and he said that the Busch series at Lucky Dog was very competitive and hard to win. I emailed him Sunday congratulating him on his first victory in the very tough Busch Series. I wish him luck the rest of the year and hope he gets that second first win. Good job Tim
