Hey Steve... we have a good group of guys this season. Last year Lucky Dog Racing players didn't win any of the 4 races that we ran, but we have a new outlook this year! Plus I'll be watching from the sidelines cheering our players on!

Whoops, sorry... I was looking at a different team. Yes, you did have the same picks as Bob. When opposing players have the same picks, the player whose league is leading in points gets the spot. It's the first race of the year, but Lucky Dog Racing would still have more points if Bob got 2nd or 3rd.
Luckily the two teams wouldn't be tied in points either way, because then I would have been stumped for choosing a tiebreaker in the first race.
thanks for checking....actually it would make a difference. If Bob finished 3rd, we would be tied for Team points. Sorry for being a pain...Now you know how Steve feels!!! j/k

oh yeah... you are right. Well, it's tough for the first race since there's nothing to base it on. If we had run together last season we could have used last year's points. At least all races from now on we will have a decided tiebreaker.
so the team standings stay? kinda puts us in a hole cuz if the same thing happens next week, LDR has the tie breaker. Thanks for your help.

Well..... I was thinking about it, the only thing I can do is award both teams 55 points. That seems fair since there's no way to really break the tie in the first race. This will put Lucky Dog Racing just 5 points ahead of P-10 Select.

with the scoring system the way it is, its possible this could happen again. I dont have the answer, but a tie breaker of some sort needs implemented. One suggestion would be to break the tie by who-ever put their picks in first. There can be no tie this way. Since you are the league Pres, the decision is yours...I am done..need to start my studying for the race next week!!!!! good luck all!!!

Race Ties: In the event that a score is tied between two or more members, the higher spot will be awarded by the following criteria:
1. The highest finishing driver that one member has over another.
2. The LROC standings position.
3. If 2 OPPOSING league members are tied for a spot, and the first two criteria do not break it, the higher spot will be given to the league member whose league is leading in points prior to the race.
4. If 2 SAME league members are tied for a spot, and the first two criteria do not break it, it will be awarded to the team that scored the most points the previous year in their awarded catagory. Example: If the Lucky Dog Racing Cup Champion and Busch Champion are tied for a spot, the points that the member earned in the Busch Series will be matched against the points the other player earned in the Cup Series. However, chase bonus points will be subtracted. For P-10 Select players, the tiebreaker will go to the player who is currently highest in their league standings.
So with the next race, if two players have the EXACT same picks, the player that is highest in the standings will get the tiebreaker spot. Then we would go to whichever league is leading the overall standings.
lol never mind..............it is these tie-breakers that caused this issue......

yeah, I know... its just that its a little difficult with the first race ever run between the two leagues. With the 2nd race and all races after that, it will be much easier to break the ties with the tiebreaker rules.
