espn polled a bunch of people and ranked the top franchises in different categories such as bang for your buck , game experience , fan availability and such . check it out here http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/franchiseRanks
see where your fav teams are and if you agree with their ranking . take the carolina panthers for example . i think a couple of categories they should have placed higher but generally i wouldnt have ranked them much higher overall . but how did the redskins rank in the 90s for stadium experience when theres like a 5 year wait for tickets ? must be something to the show , right ? and wouldnt the coliseum be more of an experience as well ? maybe their fans were worried bout getting mugged ? raiders i mean
I agreed with most of it.........Buffalo does produce for their fans for very little in return. Most of Carolina's stats were fair except for that last category. The Championsip Title Ranking? I'm not saying that they should be first or anything, because they haven't won it all yet....But for their limited time in existence, they have gotten very close alot (25-30% of the time). Teams that should have been ranked higher in that stat should have been the Steelers, Lakers, Yankees, Cowboys, 49ers, Celtics, even the Bulls. I think that stat threw off the rest of the table.
I did like seeing the Braves over the Mets, Hurricanes over the Rangers, Lakers and Bobcats over the Knicks, and Panthers over the Giants.
i dont have a lot to go on as far as stadium experience is concerned but the teams i have seen play put on a helluva show . im talking presentation not just playing game and i thought panthers should have been higher in that regard but agreed with braves ranking . ive only seen the panthers , hawks , hornets while in charlotte , and braves play . for stadium experience braves and panthers were close one two in my eyes . was an interesting factoid though . wished i could have seen the bulls play in michaels time but could only get SRO tix and wasnt worth it to me
