J. Johnson crying

Hendrick Disputes NASCAR's 'Speeding' Call
Jimmie Johnson was one of two title contenders slapped with a pit-speeding penalty (pass-through) during Sunday's MBNA 400 at Dover Downs. The other was Elliott Sadler. Johnson came to the pits for a check on his right-front tire on Lap 174 (of 400) and was called for speeding by NASCAR as he left the pit. Johnson was able to 10th place, a lap down, at the finish. Johnson and owner Rick Hendrick were not happy about the penalty and visited the NASCAR office afterward. Johnson, characteristically, was firm but diplomatic in stating his case after emerging from the meeting. "We git hit by something today that I don’t think was fair," said Johnson, who lost 27 points to last week's ranking. "I don’t think we were speeding, and I don’t think was right. They don’t have any computer system in place to back it up. It’s just a stopwatch. They said I was speeding. I said I wasn't." Asked whether NASCAR had indicated a more accurate system would be considered, Johnson said, “No, nothing was said.”

how can he say he wasnt?!?!?!!?!?!.

i was watching the race and was yelling up and down at the tv when this happened....'how can they not see he is speeding?' it looked like he came into the pit lane doing about 80 not 55!

and then they announced that he was speeding and received the penalty. that should have been the end of it........but no, snobby, crybaby Johnson has to complain whenever something doesnt go his way.

take a lesson from JR. if he gets caught at something, he takes his punishment, not go crying to the Oval Office.

Take a lesson from Dale Jr on not crying? The guy who threatens to fire his "teammate" Waltrip everytime Waltrip does not draft with him? I will admit that JR does not cry like his dad did.

Please.... Dale Sr. never cried about anything. If he didn't like someone he'd just knock him off the track.

Seems every week Gordon and Johnson are whining about something.   waaa.... my car is driving like crap, yet they're running in the top 5.  boohoo

There's always some mechanical issue, some driver, some rule that the two of them are always crying about. I get so tired of listening to them.

That comment must have come from someone who started watching racing just a few years ago.

Bottom line is there is not a racer today who has accomplished half of what Jeff Gordon has in half the time.

And Gordon has done this without the benefit of having everything handed to him like Daddys boy has...........

You know I really dont dislike JR, his fans are way more annoying than he is...

That's ok, I dont find anything more annoying than the rainbow warrior followers. I hate all of Hendrick except for Terry Labonte. Poor Terry.... in a garage full of crybabys and whiners, Gordon, Johnson, Vickers and Busch.... blah.   Dale Earnhardt had more talent in his little toe then any of them ever will.

i deal with this every week from a Gordon fan at work.....you're only argument is Jr. fans.......yet Jr. nor his fans make excuses like blown engines, flat tires, 'non-speeding', faulty tracks, DEI dominance.

when Jr. got burned, he owned up to it, it was his choice to run in that race........when he spun out intentionally, he owned up to it.........same as his dad did time and time again. (they didnt call him a leader in the garage for nothing...take a hint from Gordon himself who looked up to Sr. more than anyone.)

as for Jr. getting things handed to him? he started changing parts in Sr.'s dealership in NC...is that what you mean? until Busch series, he never drove a car owned by his dad and his sister had more talent than either brother, so why isnt she in the ranks of Nascar? maybe because Jr. had the ambition and drive.

Gordon accomplishing more than anyone else in less time? well you put a talented driver in an 'A' list team with a field of 70% has-beens as it was in the early nineties and yeh you're going to win a few races. you want to talk dominance? look at Petty and Pearson going 1-2 in 75% of the races they won in a five or six year span......its all about what your competition is like at that time.....the field now is more level than it has been since the early seventies.  I'm a tried and true Earnhardt fan, but Pearson, not Gordon is the best there ever was.

threatening to fire the 15? why not? the only races hes ever won has been the ones that Jr. helped him win.....not the same in reverse is it? as you will see, Jr. wont need or even ask for Waltrip's help....he'll get it from Truex, Stewart, Kenseth and Busch with one more wild card.

Gordon fans = the ones that jumped on the bandwagon when they left the pro wrestling world behind and just dont know talent from circumstance.

You watch every week, and during the summer you never heard anything from JR about fighting a ill handling racecar? You must be joking. The only time Gordon uses a excuse is when its a blowm engine. And you know what, a blown engine is a pretty good reason on why a driver would not do well.

look at Petty and Pearson going 1-2 in 75% of the races they won in a five or six year span>>>>

Please, they ran on dirt tracks and race 75 times a yr, No wonder Petty won so much. You are really going to tell more there was more talent in the 60's than there is now?

i cant beleive that you would even try to dispute Petty and more importantly Pearson.   the moonshiners of old were always more craftier and talented than today's lot of sprint car drivers.

lets see? who would you want driving for you? Kahne, Gordon, Gordon, Newman or  Junior Johnson, Pearson, Petty, R. Earnhardt, Allison?

lets see, excuses, he cried when martinsville came apart.......bad luck yes, but should they just give him the right to repair while everyone waited? and then there was about four or five weeks ago, he was complaining about something Nascar did to him......he went straight to the Oval Office just as Jimmie did this week.........

if Jr says he is fighting an ill handling race car, then ok, you know why he wasnt up front but he doesnt cry to Nascar asking for favors to be held on the lead lap.......and when he is fighting a bad car, his crew chief doesnt have to convince him to stay in the car and tough it out Knaus did with the 48 sunday........and dont say you didnt hear it, because it did happen with around fifty laps left.

Yeah your right, when everybody gets the  pit road sign open except for him he should not complain.

Or maybe he should spin out or purpose so he does not lose a lap. Dale Jr, did his Dad teach him that?

Or maybe he should just wreck people like Sr did.
