We can talk all we want but the bottom line is WINS. Gordon is already 6th alltime and before he is done only Richard Petty will have won more races than him. Only 2 drivers have more titles than Gordon and before its over he most likell will at least tie them.
To put things into prospective if Jeff Gordon retires today, Tony Stewart who has the most wins of the young drivers at 19 wins. He would have to win 5 races a year for the next 10yrs just to tie Gordon at 69 and Stewart has only won 5 races in a yr once.
As far as Gordon having it made, what has Ray Evernham done since he left Gordon? And Hendrick other than Johnson, which Gordon owns, hows Terry Labonte doing, Brian Vickers? Seems the only cars having success is the one Gordon drives and the one he owns...
Hey I never debated the fact that Gordon has a lot of wins. Doesn't change the fact he's a pansy boy.
And right now Hendrick is having the most success with Gordon and Johnson. I was just saying that Hendrick had already started building his fortune up by the time Gordon joined the team. Hendrick had money from other drivers winning for him throughout the years so he was able to start Gordon out right.
Earnhardt started with nothing with a tiny team starting from scratch. He used his skills as a driver to win with less than par cars.
once again, you just dont get it.......Gordon will never challenge for wins or championship leads.......hes going to F1 next year. im sure of it.
Gordon only owns the 48 like Martin owns the 17.....on paper thats it.....he doesnt decide how it will operate. the only driver/owner i see out there is Wallace with the 77
Labonte is a has been but before, he did win it all twice....more than the fabled 48. Gordon only won those many wins because of lack of talent in the field.........is that true now? no, any given week can be won by 10-15 teams as long as they stay clean and drive smart.
