May be An idea for another Fantasy . The pole position fantasy ! Predict the pole position at each week . Ex; your pick Gordon and he start first ,you have 43 pts and i take Hamlin and he start 5th on the grid , i receive 38 pts . week after week adition the points and you have ``The pole position Fantasy !! ``` It's just an idea , may be it's not interesting .

I've always thought of doing something with qualifying but then I think of all the extra work it would entail. Just doing the results each week is very time consuming. Add in the results for all 3, sometimes 4 series a week... plus all the extra stats during the week, and it just gets to be a little too much after awhile.
I have never been in favor of any type of points for qualifying, in either fantasy or real racing. I have seen opinions that drivers should get points for good qualifying efforts. NO WAY. So much of qualifying is just the luck of the draw. There is a vast difference between trying to qualify during the heat of the day, when the track is in full sun as opposed to drawing the late position when a good majority of the track is in the shade. The playing field is not level. I am intrigued by the notion that all teams needing to qualify on speed go out in succession to make it as fair as possible. I think that would be a good idea.
If you do a pole award just add wehere the drivers we picked start and go form they. it will be easier that way . only people who win the pole awards can do the next season pole shootout
Sorry, I've learned from the past that relying on someone to do weekly scoring or updates isn't too good. I end up doing it in the end, and I have too much going on as it is.
Besides, you still have to pay for your membership before you can even start the season
I can setup something that would automate this idea. There actually would be minimal work once the code was in place. Just input the starting lineup each week and wallah!! Results.
If it can work with how I record the picks each week (on excel) maybe. Don't put yourself through too much trouble though, I dont know if I want to go through the whole route of having a league polesitter each week.
