Well Jr. once again showed Hendrick who is the King at Talladega. Gordon may have won the first this year with that controversial yellow flag finish, but Jr. showed how its supposed to be done this weekend! I almost lost it when Johnson had another DNF from engine problems.... again!!! Boy those Hendrick engines are really somethin' aren't they? And then there was Jeff Gordon whining that he had no friends and nobody wanted to help him out there..... awww.....
Jr. had to win without help by Mikey since he had a tire go down late in the race and started too far back, but Jr. was able to team up with Tony Stewart again and managed to get up front. The boy does know restrictor plate racing.
Too bad he had to mess it up in victory lane with his "colorful" speech after getting too excited. He'll probably be fined 25 points and give up his current point lead to Kurt Busch. Would be interesting if that happened in the final race of the season.
i SERIOUSLY doubt that they will dock the points leader 25 big ones for a one time occurance.....you could tell he was just excited. they probably will just give him an 'official' warning. seems fair.
No, I think they will dock Jr. points. Ron Hornady got fined 10k and docked 25 points for cursing on a live radio interview. Cursing on the air on primetime tv on a major network is even worse.
Actually, although I don't want Jr. to be docked points, I belive he probably should be since Nascar can't be accused of playing favorites for Jr. again. It will just give more feeder material for all those Gordon fans who love to give their conspiracy ideas when something with Dale Jr. is involved. If Jr. wins the championship this year by a slim margin he's gonna have to hear it from all those idiots who are gonna say, he shouldn't have the championship, he should have been docked points but he's Nascar's favorite son. He can easily overcome a docking of 25 points.

You see thats the difference between Jr and Gordon, Jr is concerned about restrictor plate racing while Gordon is winning championships. Kind of like Jr is the king of the meaningless Power Gauge in RZR.
No, Jr is concerned about winning the championship this year, and since the restrictor plate race is on the chase schedule, he is concerned about winning it.
And if you don't like the power gauge, don't look at it, nobody is forcing you.

no, they cant have it both ways.....do you want drivers with personality or not??!?!?!?!!?!? again, its not as if he was at a press junket and pulled a Jimmy Spencer......he was excited like Gordon was when he won Daletega....those to have a very heated rivalry that they keep away from the cameras as much as they can......the emotion shows when one whips up on the other.
Hey, I'm with you there. Junior didn't offend me at all. But with the FCC cracking down on everybody this year after Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" NASCAR might feel pressure to be more strict with their drivers which would mean fines and possible point deductions.
Unfortunately I have no choice since the standings are at the bottom of the site and the Power Gauge takes up 75% of the page at the top.
I don't know what page you are looking at. The standings and Power Gauge each have their own separate pages off the main one. I have the top 10 standings listed on the page as well. Sorry if it's not high enough for you. God forbid you have to scroll down a little.... takes a lot to do that. I add a headline each week regarding that power gauge. Don't read it if you feel offended by it. I also added a headlign this week regarding the championship race, but of course no mention about that.
