They couldn't give Jr. the resources he needs to be able to win races and championships. Jr. wanted to take the company over so he could run it the way he wanted. He wanted to give the fans what they've been missing. The stuck up witch couldnt put her pride aside and give it Jr.
So she has now lost NASCAR's most popular driver to another team. Congrats!!! DEI will go down in flames as Earnhardt rolls in his grave.
Oh, she says DEI will flourish as they move on without him. WAKE UP!!!!!! DEI couldn't flourish with Jr., how the hell do you expect to do it without him? Jr. is... or was DEI. Say goodbye to the millions of dollars from merchandising you will be losing.
You've just created one of the biggest rifts in NASCAR now. I only hope Truex follows as well. He may not end up on the same team as Jr, but he'd be better off.
I say Jr. should go to RCR and if they can't work Truex in there, he should go to Joe Gibbs.

Good luck to JR . I dont dislike Jr but I didnt think he should get 51 % of DEI. His father had other children and it should be split 5 ways not 2. Teresa did help build DEI from the ground up . You just cant go in and rape her . Sorry Jr fans just had to get it off my chest.

She really screwed the pooch. I for one never liked Earnhardt the original one! However I do respect what he brought to the table and to the track. I remember a time many moons ago that we'd play Earnhardt. It was a drinkin game. Every time Dale "rubbed" a car you had to take a drink of beer and do a shot! Every time he wrecked someone you had to Guzzell a beer and of course do a shot. Man did we get drunk! Back to the point, His namesake should NEVER have associated with this Nascar blopper. I'm sorry for the "real" family members. Teresa..burn baby. My condolences the the Earnhardt fan-base. ( However, I will chamber many shots for down the road!) I don't blame Teresa anymore than I would any owner that cut ties with their best driver.
She honestly did what she thought was best for the company I believe, I don't agree with her, but thats what makes everyone different.
After watching the press conference, I think she will merge with Yates and drive Fords and bring up any up and coming drivers.....DEI will be a force............in about five years.
Truex will become the lead driver at DEI/Yates and he should benefit from that.
In ten years, I see Kelly,Jr, and Kerry returning to the fold of DEI in an owners standpoint, Jr. will still be driving for another team.
If you were following the whole negotion saga, you would have noticed that Jr stated on several occasions he would be growing the company for all his siblings. He wasn't planning on cutting them out. Teresa is the one keeping it all for herself. Jr planned to share, he was merely the one among all Earnhardt's children who might have had the power to pull it out of her grasp. Now Taylor will get whatever's left when Teresa is finished with it. Jr wasn't trying to bogart the company he wanted to bring it back to what it was when his father was still alive, stop the steady decline if you will. I'm not a Jr fan, this is my take from everything I've read and seen. So I think your'e wrong about the 51% Jr may be the fairest of them all.
amen on the force leaving the building . switching to ford may be there only hope of being a contender but they still wont have any drivers . yates own team hasnt been much in the past few years and while ford will jump at the chance to be in another stable they wont have anymore incentive to give TEI money than what they are already giving jacks teams . truex will leave at the end of next season once he realizes its a lost cause . jr will be in control a few years from now once miss T realizes her run is over but DEI will cease to exist as we know it
