It is not confirmed yet, but Kurt Busch might be suspended for Pocono from his actions at Dover. Please take note of this is you are thinking of taking him this week..... You will receive -5 points if he's not in the race.
As soon as it's confirmed, I will send an email to the league.
Once again, Nascar is making a bad choice. I cant stand Kurt Busch, but what he did isnt anything different from other pissing matches I have seen in the past.....like Stewart spinning Gordon on pit lane after a Bristol race. Tony was not suspended. But as I suspect, Nascar will do whatever it wants.

This time he went a little too far because he could have injured a crew member. That guy just barely had enough time to jump on Tony's car before Busch ran him over. That was just plain stupid.
Looks like there will be no announcement until Friday.
If Busch is suspended, but the car is still run with a replacement driver, anyone who picked Busch will have be switched to that driver instead. It will be just like if a driver gets sick or injured and is replaced by a new driver. Still, nobody knows whats going on yet.
Kurt Busch is a complete moron.... he should sit out for more than just Pocono. This would be his 2nd suspension I believe.... It always seems to be something with him. Penske can put up with his crap the same way Roush did.
Yeah and now the latest news is not only will Busch be suspended for a race, but the #2 car failed post race inspection at Dover. This means more fines and penalties.
Points docked should be at least 100 points if not more. This will move Busch from 11th all the way down to a tie for 18th place.
It will move Truex into the chase.... Jr gets another spot as well.
It was announced today..... No suspension, but place on probation for the rest of the year.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR announced Friday that Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 2 Dodge in the Nextel Cup Series, has been penalized 100 championship driver points, fined $100,000 and placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31, 2007, for violating Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing -- reckless driving; endangering a crew member on pit road) of the 2007 NASCAR rule book.
Car owner Roger Penske has also been penalized with the loss of 100 championship owner points due to his driver's infraction.
"I regret the incident that occurred at Dover and apologize to NASCAR, my sponsors, the fans, my Penske Racing team and Joe Gibbs Racing," Busch said in a statement. "I understand that safety is crucial to the sport and I accept the points penalty, fine and probation that NASCAR has imposed on me."
The penalty drops Busch from 11th in the championship standings to a tie with Bobby Labonte for 18th at 720 points behind leader Jeff Gordon.
The violation occurred on pit road during the race at Dover International Speedway on June 4.
What a bul&%^% spology by Kurt Busch and what the hell is NASCAR thinking? First of all, no apology to that crew member that he nearly ran over. What if he couldn't jump away in time? It would be a whole different story then.
NASCAR should have sat him a race or two just to get it past that big head of his.
Of course this loss of points is from the reckless driving.... what about the car failing inspection? Shouldn't this be a double penalty?? I think he should be docked 200 points if his car also failed inspection.

The humor in all this is that "Captain" Kurt will settle down and actaully drive a good race and place high because he can't bully and drive like a moron for fear of getting suspended.
I have an idea for a new event!!!! Every day or night after the race any two drivers that get into a situation where one wrecks the other or retaliates for aggresive driving will be mandated to don the gloves behind the winners circle for a 3 rounder in the squared circle. We'll hash this thing out the ole fashioned way. Fox could market it and have it's own reality show during the week of the past weekends fights. I'd include all series in it so there would never be a lack of action for the week. Even you crewchiefs and crew members who want to take out some frustration can duke it out if they so choose to act ignorant in the pits. How's that for a reality show?
This whole thing is turning into hockey on wheels, or is that Nascar on ice skates? Ridiculous!!! And again another of my gripes about Nascar's penalties. No consistancy. Jr- wrong wing bracket, minus 100pts + fine. Busch-rams car on pit row during pit stop endangering crewman, minus 100pts + fine. Those two seems to be the same to me? Anybody else?
i have to agree with bowler on the consistency on how nascar does a lot of things . i put this rightup there with debris on the race track if a chevy gets too far behind . nascar badly wants to be on the same level as other sports entities but they still pull crap like this . makes you think back to their roots...carpetbaggers coming down hard on us boys , better give them a little more money to leave us alone.....one has to wonder had this been a lower tier driver would his penalty been more severe ? maybe nascar should schedule a meeting with roger goodelle and get a feel for what its like to be sheriff
I actually like it when the drivers act this way to each other on the track.........BUT NOT ON PIT ROAD....where CREW MEMBERS ARE!
Its nice to see I am the FOURTH person on here to complain about the consistency issue, and yet I am the FIRST JR. fan to do so....its nice to know that others recognize he got the shaft.
use a bracket that Nascar provided then changed their mind.........-100 pts.
yeh thats the same as.....
drive recklessly and nearly run over a pit crew member on pit road...........-100 pts.
if it wasn't for that bogus penalty, Jr. would be sitting tenth in points, but have no fear, he will be there at the end.
