What the #20 team did, has to be the lowest move I have ever seen. Running in 3rd place and removed from the car. I hope Aric leaves for something better. If Denny was so concerned about winning for Rockwell, why didn't he skip happy hour like Edwards and Ragan?
Yep, Almirola definately got shafted. I was leaving from my parents house at lap #50 when he was being replaced. I think he was leading at the time too. Definately very very strange. From what I understand it was because of the sponsorship. Rockwell Automation is based out of there and they wanted to see Hamlin in the car. I was expecting to see him down in victory lane but they didn't show him. I wouldn't blame him if he just left.
Aric was never assigned to drive the car. he was suppose to test it and qualify it. Denny would of been on time but someone allowed cars to park on the landing pad for the helicopter. Denny had to fly back to the airport, then drive to the track, causing him to be late. Yes, Denny could have allowed himself more time, but chit happens. Million Dollar sponsors want to see their cars WIN. I am not sure Aric would have won. I see it as an unfortunate incident where there were going to be no winners except Rockwell.

Yes, Denny was assigned to drive that car but he didn't get there in time. Once Almirola took that green flag the reace was his. All points would go to him. I think he would have been very capable of winning that race. It would have been a fantastic opportunity for him to do so, just like Leicht last week. But that was snatched from him.
His first win will forever be a footnote in Busch history. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get snatched up by some other team after this.
