Boris will be driving the #21 on Sunday, Bill handed the keys to Boris thinking this will be the best thing for the team right now. Class move Bill, shows he cares about the Team.
Just so its clear. Sat. before the race. People that picked Boris will not get his points in the 21 car. The people that picked the 21 car will get any points for the 21.
" 3. If a driver does not qualify for the field in his designated car, but gets into the race through a driver switch after qualifying, you will NOT receive the points for that driver. Essentially you are choosing the car #'s, not the driver."
Yes, thats correct. We had the situation come up a year or two ago and this was the rule. People weren't happy about it then, and I wouldn't be surprised if some aren't about it this time either.
Well if Boris if is racing he should get points. Nascar will award him points. I can honestly say I've NEVER "picked" a car number! What's that all about? Something needs tweecking. Just my thoughts guys. Again how Can someone driving not get points?????? When people pick a driver they are diffinitely not picking a car number, they're picking a driver. How would people react if JR sat a race out and Kenny Wallace took over for a race? I think we know.

answer here is simple. the problem is the Thursday deadline. All this activity takes place after practice and qualifying. Allow picks to be made up until racetime or Saturday night...or earlier if its a Saturday night race. I always thought the Thurs. deadline was way too early, but i'm sure there is a reason for it.

Yes, there is a reason JG. Most of us don't work around computers. Therefore we decided that people who do, had an unfair advantage so it was voted to move to Thurs. nite deadline. people with PC access could see practices times and weather. This wasn't fair to the rest of the league who made picks already but couldn't change due to their work responcibilties. It wasn't popular but it passed none the less by a slim margin.

Nice Troy! Guess thats the best we can hope for. Something's gotta give on this rule though. Not sure how though. Its really NASCAR'S mess. The whole Qing process needs work. ( Flashback: Boris on pole at Daytona. Rain comes w/14 guys left to run. Boris goes home. BS ) Why can't they re-Q the next morning? They're there. There's time!? Whats the prob?

I agree about the qualifying procedue.... NASCAR needs to change it. They should have been allowed to qualifying the following day.
JG... Bumpy explained it here. Up until this season we had a deadline right up until qualifying. Somepeople called foul on that because they felt it gave people an unfair advantage on others. So we voted to have an earlier deadline. We also give bonus points for picking the pole here as well.
