Well.. looks like we are only going to have two rookie drivers next year in the Cup series since only two teams will be leaving the league at the end of the season.
That means two openings for two new teams. Who will be called up into those spots will be determined at the end of the season.
We have had zero turn around in the Cup series this year.... more and more members are reaching the 100 race mark. Hardly anyone wants to leave and can you blame them? Certain members that have left in the past have expressed regret at leaving since its nearly impossible to work themselves back into the Cup series again. With a long waiting list of members looking to eventually make the big show, it shows we'll be around for a long long time!
However, there will be more openings in the Busch and Truck series next year. As expected, since the league will be charging Cup members to play in the other series, it is opening up more spots in the league. This will ensure new enrollees during the off-season.
Yeah, sorry.... I wish I could accomodate everyone into Cup but unfortunately we couldn't handle it here. Members have expressed they do not want more than 43 members in the league at one time.
Only way to do it would be to run a totally separate Cup league, but my plate is overflowing as it is. There's no way I could find the time to devote to another league. The only way is to run a completely different type of league.... one that basicly runs itself. However, those types of leagues cost more money to operate which would be higher fees. Plus they don't give you all the extras that we offer in this league. People like all the little add on's, the write-ups, the stats, the Power Gauge, and the extra little contests.
People would still want into the main cup league which wouldn't solve any problems. The only thing you can really do is have patience. Some members will eventually retire from the league I guess.
