Please be aware not to pick Ward Burton this weekend as he's been released from his ride.
Mike Bliss has replaced Ward Burton in Haas CNC Racing's #0 NetZero Chevrolet for this weekend's Nextel Cup Series Mountain Dew Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Owner Gene Haas released Burton after last weekend's Checker Auto Parts 500, a Burton spokesman said, ending negotiations with Haas for Burton to continuing as the team's driver. Bliss has 33 career Cup starts and two top-10s, including a career-best fourth at Richmond in September 2004
any word yet on why he was released? i heard that he was supposed race in all three events this weekend and now isnt racing in any.....and i believe all are different owners so that means something is definately going on.
I haven't heard anything, I don't know why he was released. I find it kind of odd that he would be released with 2 races left in the year. Why didn't they just wait until the off season?
