Introducing... The V.P.'s LUCKY SHOT 5 program.

Lou is always finding ways to make this league better.  Lately, he has been adding bonuses for great accomplishments that each driver is able to attain.  In that sense, I am now offering up another chance for everyone in the Cup League to earn a nice reward.

This will be called the LUCKY SHOT 5.  The Lucky Shot 5 will be inspired by Winston's old Incentive program for winning the Crown Jewels of Nascar.  It was known as the Winston Million or later on as the Winston No Bull 5.  In that program, drivers received cash prizes for winning select races in the same season.  You can read all about it here at this address:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winston_No_Bull_5

The Lucky Shot 5 will have five races included in the program.  Those races will be:
Daytona 500 ---------------- Daytona Beach
Dodge Avenger 500 --------- Darlington
USG Sheetrock 400 --------- Chicago
Centurion Boats at the Glen - Watkins Glen
Chevy Rock-n-Roll 400 ------ Richmond

Any driver in the Cup League who manages to pull off a victory in all five races in one season will receive from the Vice President a $50.00 gift certificate from Nascar.com.  This has never happened in LuckyDog as of yet but this will give us all something to shoot for.  There will also be lesser consolation prizes as well for getting close to this very hard goal.

Win all five of the Lucky Shot 5's races in one season........$50.00 gift cert.

Win four of the Lucky Shot 5's races in one season...........$30.00 gift cert.

Win three of the Lucky Shot 5's races in one season.........$20.00 gift cert.

Win a Career Lucky Shot 5 (win all five races over the course of your career).....$40.00 gift cert.
(currently, the most victories anyone has of these races is 2 for their career)

Top 5 Consolation:
Score a Top Five in all five Lucky Shot 5 races during one season and receive a T-shirt with your Race Team Logo on it.

you never know......look at me.....I am generally at the bottom of the standings and yet I have the most victories....it all depends on how you tackle the race with your picks.

Ok, second race in and we know no one will be winning all of the races this year, but Bob and Ed each have a chance at winning four out of the five still.  While the rest of us can only hope to win three now.
It also doesn't look like anyone will be getting a Top Five in all five races since no one repeated at Darlington from Daytona.
Career Top Fives are still very much in the works and still possible for everyone in the league!  Only one driver, Shawnda Moore, has won at two of the races so far in her career, but 11 others have one win already tucked away in their trophy case:

Shawnda Moore - 2 - Chicago '06, Darlington '07
Charquilla Addison - 1 - Chicago '04
Bob Baldridge Jr. - 1 - Darlington '08
Ed Blackman - 1 - Daytona '08
Robert Butterfield - 1 - Daytona '07
Steven Cotter - 1 - Chicago '05
Gwen Demian - 1 - Richmond '04
Jordan Hunt - 1 - Chicago '07
Frank Page - 1 - Watkins Glen '07
Larry Scroggins - 1 - Daytona '06
Matt Sealey - 1 - Richmond '05,'06
BJ Spears - 1 - Richmond '07

Only 3 Members have scored in the Top 5 twice this year: Nathan Helton, Mark Mason, and Brian Travis.
Racing Traditions Inc. have placed a driver in all four races thus far, the only team to do that.

So, no prizes will be given out this year for this program, but as long as I am a member of this league, this program will continue, so we can all strive for the Career Lucky Shot as well as start all over next year for the big prize.
