I can't remember Jr. being interviewed before the race but everyone that was interviewed, including Casey Mears and Denny Hamlin, said two things (paraphrased of course)
1) "I want to race today. Let's get this thing started." Hamlin even went into a big ordeal about how bored he was.
2) "What's a gopher cam?" I'd rather hear boogity, boogity, boogity any day of the week over Slick or Road Kill or whatever they wound up naming him.
And from the way I understood it, all the drivers gave a thumbs up on track conditions at the beginning of the race. I usually agree with Jr. on most things he says but in this case, his argument doesn't hold much water with me.
But your point is valid, Tooz. Jr. definitely is the E.F. Hutton of NASCAR.
the 'gopher cam debacle' did get old......did you see the drivers when asked for a name for it? They were pretty much saying get out of my face....lol.
and just because no one said anything about the track before the race doesn't make Jr. any less wrong that they rushed into it I would think.
