UPS moving to a new team?

UPS Moving to another team? will stay in NASCAR: on SPEED's Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain [3-30-2008], Zak Brown, CEO of Just Marketing International, reported that sponsor UPS, currently sponsoring the #44 Toyota that David Reutimann drives, that UPS plans to stay in NASCAR and is reviewing it's sponsor program and is evaulating probably five teams, including the team they currently sponsor, #44 Michael Waltrip Racing and Reutimann. UPS should formalize their NASCAR plans within the next 60 days. No word on those teams, but UPS says they want to run for a championship and have a "Rock Star" type of driver like they had with Dale Jarrett. Roush Fenway Racing had been rumored in the past with Greg Biffle.(4-1-2008)

rock star?    Sorry, that term doesn't come to mind when describing Dale Jarrett, lol.

I say its probably between.....
Reutimann's #44,
Carpentier's #10,
Sorenson's #41,
Hornish's #77,
or
Ragan's #6

No rockstars there either.... although I guess Sorenson is as close as you can get.

I based my guesses which teams were in sponsor trouble and could use an upgrade....

Sorenson is probably the most marketable.....

UPS is doing their 'global' image thing now in the commercials.........that is why Carpentier came to mind.

This is probably off the wall but -- why not go with Travis Kvapil.

The Yates car was the first that popped into my head as well, but I agree with Tooz... RYR is less than stellar right now.

Since we are playing the game of what ifs..... General Mills announced they are leaving the Petty's, maybe the UPS stick packet will land on that car, McDowell could fill that request.

Then again, that wouldn't fill they need for a Cup run.....

Who knows, maybe it'll go to RCR...... isn't Richard having trouble with AT&T in the future?
