Well the Celtics didn't play like a team that wanted to reach the finals last night. So many stupid mistakes and dumb fouls. Maybe they lost on purporse to force themselves to win on the road, lol.

I have to say this is pretty cool that the LA Lakers vs Boston in the NBA Championship. This will even get me to watch (LoL) I just remember the days of Magic vs Bird, this time it will be Kobe vs Garnett this should be good but, I say the LA Lakers will take it in 5 games.

And the only reason I will be going for the LA Lakers is my Uncle was a big Lakers fan and I'm sure he will be looking down with a big smile when the Lakers win another championship.

LOL is that all you got Matt!? Nobody really cares about the Hawks much, or for that matter the NBA. Jungleball is what I call it. Sure everyone can figure out why! If the US had to dump a sport I'm convinced the NBA would be the first to go. Love college ball but the NBA is full of prima donnas and crimnals. Not the sport I'd point any kid to.

lol, your comments always astound me at how much you say that has little or no merit. you are quick with the insults, but never have the facts to back them up.

-you say you dont care about this subject yet you post anyways

-you say 'jungleball', not exactly the best term to use to say the least

-you say its the first sport to get dropped and yet MLB and NHL are constantly in a state of turmoil and uncertainty

-you say its full of criminals and all you gotta do is look at the police blotters and see all of the NFL athletes far out weigh any NBA guys in any given city.

Lakers in six was my prediction, maybe they stretch it to seven but either way, its a show the whole nation will be watching with these two perennial powerhouses going at it.

Out of the 61 NBA titles, 30 are held by the Celtics (16) and Lakers (14).....where are the other teams at?

Lakers are the last team to repeat.......and repeat..........well you get the idea.

Lakers could easily win three or four championships over the next eight years.....jump on the bandwagon now.

let me offer my congrats to the lakers . while i will never be a fan of the sniveling kobe i have and always will be a fan of phils . i would love to see him win a tenth ring and agree the lakers could see some long term success if the son in law zen master stays on board . kobe may be the star but phil is the man ! without his leadership guiding the ego they would be nowhere .
i have to agree with tooz breakdown on speed . i honestly cant name an nba player who has been in the headlines lately but i never have problems naming any from the nfl . though i love the nfl i do recognize the marketing dollars the nba generates . and if we were to ever drop a sport as ludicrous as that sounds it would most definitely be hockey hands down . baseball is experiencing a resurgance of late now that their cleaning up the yard. nfl will always be number one and im sorry but the nba is number two even though a lot of racist people in this country dont like to admit that

haha, sounds good to me! Red Sox, Patriots and now the Celtics. It's 1986 all over again, except the Sox won, lol. All the Celtics need to do is stop Kobe, and our defense was able to shut down Lebron for 4 games I think. I'm glad this rivalry means something again now. GO CELTICS!

Leffler, you are normally a wise man, but you are quite off your rocker this time.

1986? now you sound like Bears fans harking back to '85! Don't live in the past, suffer in the present while Kobe, Pau, Sasha, and Derek roll all over your asses.

Defense stopping Lebron? that's the argument you are gonna use? Lebron was a one trick pony while Kobe is a completely well rounded superstar. Good Luck guys, may you suffer and begin a long title drought in Beaner-town!

LOL

I'm not living in the past, just saying how this year is like 86 in which all Boston teams did well. If I wanted to live in the past, I'd say the Red Sox have won 2 of the past 4 World Series and the Patriots have won 3 Super Bowl's. smile

As for Lebron/Kobe, they basically both carry their teams with minimal support from everyone else. Sure you have Gasol and Derek Fisher (wow!), but it's all Kobe. If Kobe shoots 1 for 20, it won't matter how anyone else does because it will be a loss, just like with Lebron.

ok, I'll eat crow.

but of course not without my comments.....

Lakers as a team shot very poorly......that you can chalk up to Boston's defense.

Gasol withered down the stretch but I won't say Garnett was the reason.

Fisher was awesome as he is always in the playoffs.

Pierce will not be much of a factor after that knee swells up.

Lakers kept the game close and even led late without playing their best game in BOSTON.

Most of all, Odom disappointed all night.....he had one hard charge to the basket for a great shot, but mostly he made poor shot selection and his defense reads were horrible...everytime he went to help on a double, his now open man made a great shot.

Sasha was very good as was Kobe.

Phil should have sat Turiaf or Luke sooner with the cold hands they had.

The same Again!

This is true again.

If thats not being a factor ill take it every game!

They got close again after BOSTON GOT BORED!

Sasha still good Kobe no show.

Phil should have sat Turiaf or Luke sooner with the cold hands they had.

Should be a good game Tuesday night. I can not see LA playing like that at home. If Boston keeps it close they could win it all Thursday! But I would rather see them win it at home and rock the new garden. As long as they don't go the way of Big Brown! How disapointing was that. I am sure Steve D has a thing or two to say on this matter.

All I know is this series is over if Boston can win 1 of the 3 games in LA. If they can head back to boston up 3-2, I'll be happy. If they finish them off in LA, I'll be happier. If these posts upset Tooz, I'll be happiest. lol. Just kidding captain! Remember though, Kobe sucks!

Well one for them. The only good thing from last night is that LA played there A game Boston brought there B game and only lost by 6. They were in the game to the end. Interesting series as I thought it would be. Late games I am losing my beauty sleep. We all know I need all of that I can get.

Yeah staying up for 12am and then waking up at 6am is killing me, especially when they lose! Pierce and KG sucked last night. I'd like to see the Celtics go with House more to take Kobe off the double teams.

Well, I knew this would be a hard fought series either way, but overall, I am still pleased as I expect Kobe and Vuya to lead the charge to go back to 'New York's little brother' up 3-2.

Odom is still a disappointment, either way, he needs to be traded this year.

Lack of sleep is killing me as well as I am in the hot sun all day and then I stay up all night watching a bunch of men beat and bang up on each other!

My Romanian friend at work who is a big time Pistons fan said the same thing about if Boston can win one in L.A., but as I told him, they first have to get that win, not likely.

Dicapriotaed Heads are what we want from our game six Victory to finish out the series.

Just remember, four or five teams have won it all after going down 0-2 since the NBA went to the 2-3-2 format in the finals.
