We're still looking at applicants.... We won't make a decision any time soon. It's not something that we should rush into. It will only be one position if the new VP isn't a council member already.
Just a reminder, please let me know if you are interested in this position. We are willing to look at anyone, even if you are not a member of the Cup series yet.
So far we have heard interest from: Randy Cook, Earl Arnold, Jr. and Jordan Hunt. I think Jeffrey Ouderkirk emailed me too, I have to re-check it at home.
Wendal Ebach has also volunteered to possibly work on our myspace site, so there could be a possibility of the new VP not having that responsibility. In the next few weeks I want to discuss these candidates with the council and soon after we will make our decision.
Well the current VP took care of the myspace site, but if we have a hard time finding one that can update it, we might be able to give that job to another member.
The VP needs to be knowledgable in all areas of the league and can be quick to answer any questions that members may ask.
He of course serves on the council and serves as the voice of the league.
He should be able to contribute a lot to the league by being very active on the forum, offer up new ideas and suggestions and could possibly be asked to handle certain matters if I am unable to for whatever reason. Also its nice if he contribute articles from time to time that can be added to the news section.
Most importantly he needs to carry himself in a fair, objective manner. Sometimes to serve as mediator in disputes should they arise. He is one of the main voices of the league besides myself and should represent it accordingly.
I need someone that I can get fairly quick advice on matters and someone easy to work with.
