Well, that may be the case that he was brought up too quickly but, looking at his 2008 Stats there was only 1 other accident that he was in, other then that he has been running at the end of the race.
o well, did anyone see the restart where Tony Stewart had a very slow start hmmmm, right after he told the official's to watch the guys behide him...now there's something to talk about (LoL)
Seemed to me McDowell did that on purpose to get back at Gilliland for something tha happened off camera in the esses.
I hope he was released from MWR, it would be rightfully earned. Not only did he almost kill half of the field, he cost his team and his owners team (#55) some valuable points needed for the top 35.
He needs to stay in ARCA where wrecks like that happen all the time.
I agree Stephen, but maybe kicked out of the Series is a little harsh, if they did that half the field would be gone after some of the boneheaded moves they have all done a time or two.
Here's a short list: Stewart, Montoya, Harvick, Busch, Busch, Newman, Gordon (R.), Petty, and yes even my guy Jr. has intentionally brought out a caution to not lose a lap.
McDowell was wrong, that's for sure, but we all know road courses make tempers flare and if you don't have the talent to back it up, well you deserve to have to sit for a few weeks.
i def agree with him needing more experience ! anyone whos watched many races this season has seen him cause several wrecks . i doubt he wrecked gilliland on purpose but he definitely caused that wreck . ive seen more than one interview where another driver was hot with him for racing them too aggressive while being laps down or wrecking them . seems like harvick had beef with him bout a month ago as well .
