For awhile, the forum is going to remain private only for approved members for now. I had no problem keeping the open door policy as we haven't had any kinds of problems lately.
However, recently a new league has sprung up (most of us know who it is) and they have decided to use their forum to start bashing members of this league and the entire league in general.
They also decided to turn their forum private so they can go on with their hateful posts. We've been down this road before. Of course this time the person that is making those posts is still currently a member of this league. League rules permit us from removing that person this season, but he will not be invited back next year. An entire year has been filled with with nothing but trouble from this member. Constant harrassment against myself and other members of this league is grounds for dismissal, as well as degrading the league in general.
Sorry for those of you who are now required to log in, but we do not need to fuel their fire any more.
The forum has been changed back to public. I was notified the other day that there should be no more bashing against our league and its members. Hopefully that will hold up.
