Does California warrant 2 Races?

As I have in every race this year, I watch the attendance in the crowds. I am not sure if its the ticket costs, travel costs, hotel costs or what, but the crowds have been down. California had approx. 70,000 at the race Sunday, and the track seats 92,000. California has always had issues filling the stands, and I believe another speedway should get this date. Which one, I am not sure. Any thoughts?

California should be removed form the schedule completely. How this track got a chase race next year is beyond me. No one out there could really care for Nascar and it's got to be expensive on the teams to make the trip. Seats did look pretty empty as well like you said.

I agree completely with both of you!

SoCal members could speak to this best, but I would have to say California just has to many other options out there at this time:
USC, UCLA, Raiders, 49ers, Lakers, Stanford, Angels, Clippers, World of Outlaws, Night Clubs, Theater, etc.

Granted, not all of that is happening now, but everyone has to pick which to go to.

Atlanta got robbed just as Darlington did..............two southern cities got the shaft from the Hollywood boys. I would say take the date back and give it to a completely new track earlier in the year at one of the least desirable spots. New tracks are great as long as they aren't 'cookie-cutters'.
