Boy I dont remember words like cheating being thrown around when JR intentionally spun out to save a lap at Bristol, a move that landed himself on probation. I wonder why? Maybe we should just change the league to the Kiss JR's butt racing league.
Uh well with the Bristol incident the league was just starting up. That was the first race for us. I was more worried about getting the league up and running then I was about reporting on Jr's "cheating" if you must know.
Oh and by the way, I don't report on every single driver losing points, I only report on significant point loss that usually involves the race winner or points champion. If Jr had won the race and was points champion at the time then yes, I would grill him. I don't condone cheating, and yes Jr. was an ass for spinning at Bristol last year. However, I think this kind of cheating is more severe since it gave Johnson's car a distinct advantage over everyone else. That's plain wrong.
I'm sure you'll just say I'm playing favorites again, but I'm sure I'll hear about this every time something bad happens to either Gordon or Johnson and I have it on the site.
Why isnt there anything about Harvick? They KNEW they were cheating, and they told everyone about it.
Busch's crew might have known, but Johnson didn't, and his was them ost minimal of all of the infractions, so I dont know why everyones making a huge stink over Johnson. The site is kinda against only Johnson, even tho Harvicks guys knew they were wrong...... 'intresting'
true, Harvicks was most blatant, but the 48 won the race........the winner will always get the most attention....just a fact of life.........we build people up just to bring back down again just as fast.
By the way, are you gonna go complain to NASCAR.com as well? Johnson's penalty is slapped right on the front page, while you have to dig a little deeper to get to Harvick's penalty.
Maybe Nascar.com doesn't have those words, but I've seen it on many other websites. Nascar.com doesn't offer opinions other than Marty Smith and the other guys in track smack. The official news reports are unbiased.
This isnt an official news site, so yes I will offer my opinions. I congratulate them when they win, even if I don't like them. And I bash them when they cheat, which is what Johnson did.
And I sincerely doubt that Johnson knew nothing about his car, please... give me a break.
Anyway, you Johnson fans can stop complaining about the headlines tomorrow, since its Wednesday. I usually switch over to a headline about the upcoming weekend's race during the middle of the week.
I was killing Johnson as soon as the penalty came out. I think I was more surprise that it was a Hendrick driver&crew chief that were caught cheating. I don't think it would be in Nascar's best interest if they started labeling drivers as cheaters. Look at the damage that was caused by the label they attached to Stewart. When you say Tony Stewart what do you think? Hothead, anger management or do you think Winston Cup champion of 2002?
How much lower was his car? inch? foot? Hendrick said that he would appeal the suspension, but I think that is more of him saving face then anything else.
I think the statement made my Berrier was worse because he basically told us that he will try it again. It's the classic bait and switch. Keep looking at my fuel tank and I'll do something else to the car that you are going to miss on inspection.
If this contiunes, we are going to end up with an IROC racing league and that's something I ain't ready for.
Hey Prez. You put the work in. Gives you the right to slam whom ever you want. Plus as long as you slam the Gordon wana be who cares. Watch out for Newman if the 24 wants to play hard ball.
