Dodge Ram trucks will be racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series once again at Daytona, according to Truck Series Director Wayne Auton. Dodge ended its involvement in the truck series last year as the Chrysler brand refocused its limited resources on its Cup and Nationwide programs. Only one Dodge team was left by the end of the season. But Auton said Thursday during an interview at the NASCAR research and development center in Concord, N.C., that at least one new owner will run Dodge trucks at Daytona. "I know for sure that there's going to be one in Daytona. I don't want to say who they are, but I know there's a new owner coming with two Dodge truck teams. That's a brand new owner in the garage," Auton said.
What kind of support will Dodge be giving these one or two teams i wonder? Well, this won't change the format for the picks forms. We will still use just the three manufacturers as the main groups. We will put the couple of Dodges in group 4. Not too many Fords from what I am seeing so far. Information is still coming out about who will run at Daytona but so far I only see 4 Ford trucks.
