Now will Busch get fined?

Kurt Busch allowed his frustrations from Nextel Cup racing to spill over into the IROC series, but who knows how mad he might have been if he knew the whole story.

Busch, who has finished 32nd, 35th and 19th in the past three Cup races, was leading the second leg of the IROC series before he a tire went down and he shot into the Turn 2 wall on Lap 46 of a scheduled 67-lap race.

"I am so tired of this (expletive)," Busch said on a radio interview after banging his hands on the car’s dash after the incident. He used the same word that got Dale Earnhardt Jr. a 25-point fine during last year’s Chase for the Nextel Cup, but after finishing 11th Friday night Busch has only 15 total points in two IROC races this year.

Busch might have been even more frustrated if he’d known what apparently led to the problem with his car. After hitting traffic cones at the end of pit road while avoiding a Lap 6 incident, Busch came to pit road and the IROC crew changed his tires. According to a Goodyear source, the crew mistakenly put the left-front tire on the right side of Busch’s car and the right-side tire on the left.

That difference might have been why Busch was able to make up ground after the restart, eventually taking the lead. But it also likely contributed to the tire failure that sent him into the wall, too.

The toughest break for Busch was that if he’d completed 47 laps, he would have made it to a scheduled caution during which his tires would have again been changed.

He probably won't be since it wasn't a NASCAR event, so they really can't take away NASCAR points. However will IROC be presssured by the FCC to fine him at least?
