......... for a while anyway. IMS annouced Thurs. that the August race will be renamed the Allstate 400. Indy had been called the Brickyard 400 since its inception in 1994. No the Indy 500 will not go corporate. Joie Chitwood thought better of it. Go figure. I have a problem with Michigan going hollywood with its "Batman" race this year. Isn't there enough cash already? Guess that's a stupid question. What happened to tradition? What next? Frances wife wareing the highes bidders shirt,shoes, hat etc?

That sucks... they should have at least called it the Brickyard 400 Presented by Allstate. NASCAR is losing all of its traditions ever since Brian France took over. Wonder how his father feels about it?
Gee, I guess the Daytona 500 will be the next to go. That's about the only tradition left.
