Benson loses his ride

Tough economic times force RHR to suspend operations of #1 team: Red Horse Racing regretfully announces the closure of the #1 Toyota Tundra driven by Johnny Benson. The decision is effective immediately. Red Horse Racing worked to secure sponsorship for the #1 team since last December but has been unsuccessful in doing so. Sponsorship for Benson was thought to be secure before the season began but the economic downturn kept that sponsor from being able to participate with Red Horse Racing. Red Horse Racing will continue to field the #11 Toyota Tundra, driven by TJ Bell, as that truck does have some support.

Wow, that's huge.... of course I can't figure out how T.J. Bell was able to get sponsorship and the defending Truck Champion is not?

I'll be surprised if Benson isn't able to pick up another ride quickly, however whether or not it happens by this weekend is anyone's guess.

Those that have Benson as their segment driver may take a big hit in points if that doesn't happen. If he does find a new ride, you'll be fine because the segment driver is based on the driver rather than the Truck.

I'm sure the asking price for Benson's truck was alot more than Bell's.

That was part of the problem over a DEI a couple of years ago...the asking price was too much.

I think Bell is bringing some money with him to the team. I'm glad I used Johnny when I did for the streak to the finish game!
