Yeah I try to go to a couple of Mets games a year. It's a bit of a treak so I dont go as often as I'd like. I won't drive into the city, so it's a 40 minute train ride into Penn station, then walk from Penn station a few blocks to the subway. Take the N or R train and then transfer to the 7 train which goes to Shea stadium. Probably about an hour and a half trip when you factor in all the walking too.
How come as close as you are to Philadelphia that you are a mets fan as opposed to a Phillies fan. I have always been a Yankee fan. Used to take the train to Hoboken,NJ and then a cab to the Stadium for old timer's day every year with my father who worked on the railroad. Now I get to Toronto SkyDome each year when the Yankees are in town for a couple of games.
The skydome is one of the most beautiful stadiums I have ever been too.
Living in Jersey its almost quicker to goto philly then it is to goto queens. Philly is about an 75 minute drive down the turnpike, over the bridge and poof your there. Just that philly fans suck no matter what sport you goto watch.
