You cant pit drivers against each other anymore, Now days you have to consider that its 80% car and 20% driver. You have to look at teams instead of drivers. Nascar is almost turning into Indy Racing with the high dollar teams taking everything leaving the little guy behind. Does anyone think that we will ever have another Alan Kulwicki. With Jr. having trouble with his Crew change and the gears they have to run im willing to bet that your champ this year will be either Rick Hendrick or Jack Roush.

Easy there Helton, 80%--20%???? Don't buy that at all. Especially on road course. That horsepower wouldn't do **** if you can't keep it on the track. Obviously that's a extreme case but I'd put driver skill alot higher than 20%.

Well probably not championship, but I would say Gordon would STILL by far have more points in that car than Carl has. And to switch it, no way Carl would have as many points in Jeff's car than Jeff has. Thats what I'm saying. If you think Carl Long is even close to having the driving ability Jeff has I'd have to say to you" set the crack pipe down".

No, I never said Carl was as good as Jeff. Yes some drivers are better than others, You have to admit that most drivers are only as good as thier team or who they drive for. Take Bobby Labonte, A Winston Cup Champ the old way. all of the sudden he cant drive anymore, if its more driver than it is car then I guess we can say Bobby cant drive. Or maybe we can say its the Engines, Spoiler, Gear Rule, or Tires had something to do with it. Nascar is a team sport no driver can do it alone.
