If you pick a driver and he doesn't qualify into the race you will be docked 5 points. You will also be docked 5 points if you choose a driver that is not competing in the race. All the drivers attempting to make the race will appear on the race entry list. Even if you pick a driver that shares the car with another driver, you will not receive the picks if the other driver is running the race, so be sure to check before you submit your picks.
EXCEPTIONS: the only way that you will receive the picks of a substitute driver is if any changes happen during or after qualifying. If a driver is unable to qualify, but gets a ride in another car, you will receive his points. If one of of your picks gives up his ride to another driver, you will receive the picks of the substitute driver. If you have both drivers in your picks, you will receive the same points for both picks.
Rainouts: If qualifying is canceled due to rain or some other cause, the 5 point penalty for a driver not making the field will be waived.
Since this change happened a day before qualfying, then no... those people who picked him will not get Ron Hornaday. I also sent a note with the the courtesy letter stating that he was being put on suspension and would not be in this weekend's race, along with putting it on the main page.
Funny thing is, people were still picking him today after this was made public.. after I sent the letter... and after I put it on the site. Guess they don't like to read.
Those members who stay alert and on top of things have an advantage over those members that don't.

once again, the rules were stated before the season and everyone had the chance to look them up or not. if you can't come online daily, wait until the last day to make your picks so that you have all the info at hand if you need to make a decision on who to choose.

I realize alot of people have to get used to the way things are done in here since this league is unlike any other, but come on guys, no professional sport or fantasy league that is successful changes the rules midseason...........whats that? oh yeh, Nascar does........lol!
