Seems P-10 decided to be generous. This should make the race come down to LDR and FASCAR. Congrats, but this is a lousy way to win. Good Luck !!!
Rules should never be changed on the last lap. Win or lose, this will be my last year on LROC. I have decided to retire.
I just hope the Champion can hold there head high....since it was given to them...not won.

The rules where never changed in the Last Lap John. The Owners of the teams where to submit picks before the deadline not after -- we had talked about changing it but not until next season not this season.
The LROC operator will inform each team owner of members who have not yet submitted picks on the deadline day. Each owner will have the ability to submit picks up until the deadline for members who have not yet submitted. If that member does submit picks on time, it will replace the original picks submitted by the owner.
Exactly... I don't know why someone would think we changed the rules before the end of the season. We usually always save major rules changes for the off-season. A couples of months ago there was a discussion by the three team owers about making some changes in regards to late picks and deadlines. However, nothing was finalized, nothing was changed, and nothing affected this season.
Lucky Dog Racing and FASCAR can not make picks after the deadline. The form is not up any more for us to access. I don't know why P10 Select would think its different for them?
First of all.. P-10 isnt thinking this way.. I am. As you know I wasnt crazy about the owners putting in any picks from the start, but this was your choice (owners) Any time you have deadlines that change from week to week, these things will happen. I dont understand the early deadline when all the Truck drivers we could choose from are guaranteed spots anyway. Why is LROC different with ONE deadline for all series? For petes sake....the Cup race isnt until Sunday and the picks have to be in Thursday? If picks are late, shouldnt the pick that is actually late be disqualified? There has been no qualifying for the Nationwide or Cup series. How can these picks be late?
I am not blaming anyone in particular....just the system. Wasnt there a pick in the Streak game that was allowed after the deadline...because it was by a few minutes? You three figure this out....I am only voicing my opinion

Well first of all, the Streak Game has nothing to do with the LROC series. Totally different leagues.
Second, we've always had the deadline right before the first qualifying session of all three series for the past 2 years. Truck series qualifying was Friday evening. So that was the deadline. I really don't know why some people wait until the last minute anyway to make their picks, more often than not, it usually ends in problems.
Now we can make changes during the off-season and maybe allow members to make picks for the Cup series and Nationwide series even after the Truck series qualfying has taken place already. personally, I would have no problem with that.
I'm a little confused John -- you said you are against Owners making picks but, this is what happened.
Steve made 2 sets of picks after the deadline and Steve did say there was 2 other times this had happen.
If Lucky Dog Racing or FASCAR would have missed the deadline we would have gotten a big fat zero -- which happened to Lucky Dog Racing this year, P10 Select Racing last year and FASCAR had two of them last year.
When the Emergency Picks came into effect it was to actually help teams out and not get these big fat zeros. The owners would have a chance to send in a set of picks before the deadline each week for a driver or drivers that hadn't pick already.
I'm not sure having Multiple Lock Times is the way to go. We may have more problems with that system. I think one set lock time is the way to go -- that way there is no questions. But, I guess it is something to give thought to.
Yep. I was against it because it only benefited the TEAM part of it. It was unfair to those of us who put our picks in for the Individual champion. There should be a provision for missed picks..... using the previous choices at 1/2 points? The one thing I think Owners forget..... there are more important things in life than getting your picks in. Should a person be penalized for a death in the family, home burning down, or a natural disaster? I can guarantee the last thing on their mind is getting picks in before a deadline. Remember, we are all here to have fun, and leagues should be set up that way...not giving 0's or - scores.
Last Question? Was there an advantage to the picks that were late? If not, you see my point!

John, I had brought up to both Steve and Wendal that we should have some kind of system where the individual would be penalized in some fashion but the entire team would not. For some reason it was not widely accepted. I only wanted it in place if a player just simply forgot about making picks that week. There are cases where it would not be applied, simply if a player could not make them. For instance, Troy Wiggins asked me to make his picks a couple of times because he was away from home for a few weeks and had very limited access.
Trust me, I know very well there are times when a player can not make picks for some good reason. We don't know why the two players in P10 Select could not make them.
I have been known to be lenient at times with accepting late or slightly late picks in Lucky Dog Racing. Most of those times that I accept someone's late picks I am questioned by certain members of this league why I allowed them.
Yes, the leagues are meant to have fun, but there are also rules to play by. If you missed your picks in the Yahoo leagues, NASCAR.com or some of the other bigger leagues out there.. would you contact the administrators of that league and ask if you could submit late picks?
I'm hoping that nobody will be offended on the P10 Select team but I will make picks for every member immediately after creating the entry form so that there will be no chance of there being a missed pick.
This farce will not happen again under these conditions.
And to refresh your memory Lou, I was in favor of there being a penalty for missing picks, it was Wendal who opposed that idea. (and zero points is a penalty if anyone is interested)

These are the same conditions that me and Wendal have been under this whole season. There is nothing new here..... nothing has changed.
We don't make picks for our whole team until the days of the deadline. A few hours before the deadline I will check the entry list and see which Lucky Dog Racing member did not submit for the week. My team has been great this year, they are very on cue when it comes to submitting picks. We just had that one time earlier in season where Gary could not submit them. I didn't check that night because I really hadn't needed to until that point. We missed the deadline. I wasn't happy about it, but those were the rules. We took our lumps and pressed on.
I remember this missing pick LDR suffered earlier in the season and I also remember that I would be just fine with contacting the member to get his/her picks to fill out the teams selections for the event. I don't see any point in a series such as this in having a competition between teams without full representation. Even if it takes till the green flag we should work on fielding full teams selections. I mean it is not like an office pool where your team is sitting a couple doors down and you can go find out if picks were posted. There are so many life variables not to mention computer related issues that could prevent someone from getting their picks in on time. We never identified the missing name selections this week I notified you about so it could quite possibly be one of my players who if posting that early might have done so becasue they would be gone and couldn't post their normally LATE time.
OK my question wasnt answered. Was there an advantage to the picks being late? If not, geesh guys......kinda like the world we live in today...common sense should prevail. We will go on and try to make sure one of our guys wins the individual award. LOL I am big enough...I will run blocker for Jay and Steve !!!
The farce is we are even having this discussion. I would have hoped the owners, in the best interests of all leagues....would have used common sense. The picks were minutes late....not hours or days.

Steve, all I know is that after Wendal emailed the both of us around 8:30pm EST, I logged on to the entry list and saw the two names that were missing... Brian Speers and Mark Blose. If either you or they had submitted their picks before the deadline, they would be listed there.
I totally agree with you about filling in the field by getting late picks from those who haven't submitted picks yet. However, there should be some kind of penalty issued towards them because they will have the advantage of seeing practice and qualifying while the rest of the members who submitted their picks on time could not see.
With that said, while I agree with you on that matter, it is an issue to discuss for next year. For the remaining races we still have to abide by this year's rules.
The thing is Steve you submitted picks after the deadline. I mean I was on a few times last night to make sure everyone from my team got in. I was on at 6:30 PM (CST) a half hour before deadline and everyone from my team was in. At that time if a driver wouldnt have submitted picks I would have submitted a set for that driver. Which fellows the rules.
Well unfortunately I have other things to keep me busy other than making sure I'm sitting at my computer to babysit the entry form. I'm trying to improve all my leagues and make it where I'm not spending day and night trying to keep up. This is fantasy for goodness sake.
