Truck series records broken


We had quite a few records broken this year in the Truck series. Here they are:

In the standings, Matt Sealey broke Most Top 5's, Most Top 10's and most points scored in a season.  Matt had 7 top 5's, 11 top 10's and 2871 points.

The previous record for most top 5's was held by Greg Eichele with 8 top 5's in 2008.

The previous record for most top 10's was held by Greg Eichele, Daniel Buddenhagen, Terry Howell and Rene Nadeau in 2008 & 2007.

The previous record for most points was 7680 held by Lou Demian last year.


In the races:

Tony Hogan picked 15 consecutive race winners before his exit from the league.

Most race points scored: Lincoln Griffin scores 7978 to break the old record of 7680 set by Lou Demian last year

Most race winners picked: Four drivers pick 22 winners this year, Lincoln Griffin, Nathan Helton, Jordan Hunt and Randy Cook. They break the old record of 17 set by Jordan Hunt and Louie Gallardo last year.

Most polesitters picked: Four drivers pick 16 polesitters this year. Lincoln Griffin, Lou Demian, Rick Paintin & Robby Stone. They break the old record of 15 set by Mike McKillop & Lincoln Griffin last year.

Most lap leaders picked: Matt Sealey picks 75 lap leaders to break the old record of 67 set by Tony Hogan last year.

Most drivers leading the most laps: Not broken, but Jordan Hunt ties the record set by Lou Demian, Lincoln Griffin and John Magee last year.

Most segment drivers scored: Matt Sealey records 1861 points by his segment drivers to break the old record of 1839 set by Lou Demian last year.

Best average points at season's end: Lincoln Griffin records an average of 319.1 points to break the old record of 307.2 set by Lou Demian last year.
