Danica Patrick not ruling out NASCAR

Q&A: Danica Patrick TSN [The Sporting News]: Do you have aspirations to race in NASCAR?
Patrick: Only if the right situation came about would I think about leaving IndyCar. Honestly, I have to say that I've just always wanted to be an IndyCar driver. I race because it's fun, and I race because I love it, not because I want to make money. I wouldn't go race for a different team because they paid me a ton more money if I think I couldn't do as well as where I'm at. I think there's only so much money you need to be happy, and the rest of it is just problematic and costs you a lot of money when it comes to tax time.(Sporting News/Brandon Mudd)(6-21-2005)

So she's not flat out saying she wouldn't race in NASCAR. And since she isn't denying it I bet you a lot of teams might try to find her a quality ride. NASCAR itself would probably love to pry her away from Indy Car for the extra publicity. Hey, she can go and replace Leffler in the FedEx car. She can deliver her package anytime, lol.

the day may come when she comes over to the Best Series, but it won't be anytime soon. First she has to be dominant or at least consistent over in IRL. Then, Nascar would want to see how far Erin Crocker can do in Busch let alone Cup. Third, contracts would have to fall into place timewise with a Nascar team willing to gamble on her. Let's not forget how different the cars are.  Stewart was a gem, but think of all the drivers who have tried to come to Nascar and failed. Only Foyt had as much success as Tony.

why not? she is young enough to be a 'young gun' but, not quite young enough to be considered a pre-teen pup who can't even drive.

Doesnt Ray have a good Female driver coming up through the ranks. Also, Wayne it shouldnt matter what sex you are if you can drive. Your perfomance should decide your fate, what your saying is 1\4 of the drivers shouldnt be Racing with the big boys. But Nascar fields 43 teams per race and you cant have 43 Super Stars. I say if she can make the field for a race let her drive.

LM, those are some pretty ignorant comments you just said. I'm surprised the women in this site haven't blasted you yet. By the way, Everham's developmental driver is Erin Crocker who also has driven in IRL.

Yes Helton, the previously mentioned Erin Crocker. I think Everham will race her in Busch next year. If not Full time trucker. Not sure where he'll put her.
