Nascar Nation

In one week, Nascar Nation went from being my favorite stock car show to one of the worst in my eyes.  Has anyone else seen how they revamped the show? One glance at it and you see how they pulled an 'MTV-remix' on it.

Let me explain. The old personell was a joke. They would have to many forced puns and segways that just killed the chemistry of the cast and distracted you from the show itself.  The format was great with them showing you what story would be on when. (Commercial shoot at .17 after, News at .46 after, etc.) Hot Pass would have Nascar.com's Marty Smith talking all about the week's current issues.

So what did they do?  They axed all the original people with the exception of one roving reporter. Got rid of the Format. Got rid of Hot Pass (the best segment of the week) Got rid of the News Desk.   They now concentrate on what all the drivers are doing off track and don't even mention the on-track issues.

I love watching Dale Jr., but I would gladly give up on a story about him judging the Hooters Beauty Contest in favor either the News Desk with Connie Legrand or Hot Pass with Marty Smith.

Bottom Line = the show gets a F and I think I'm going to stop watching it. Anyone else have an opinion on the revamp?

The show I missed the most was Winston Cup Wednesday rewind. I have no idea why Speed Channel would axe that. If I missed a couple laps or an important pit stop at least I could of seen it again.

Tooz, I saw the first show and thought it could get better but I haven't seen the new format yet. I don't know what makes producers think they have to get hip to get an audience. Just give me the news and some inside track info and leave MTV to MTV. Its just like Fox's silly pre-game NFL show to ESPN's serious pre-game show.

Yep, your right again Toozie! Guess it wasn't enough to show Nation 15 times a week, now they've changed a perfectly decent show and trashed it. Show me the news!! If I want to see Hooters girls I'll get in my jeep and go have some wings and beer. What a joke. Thought that was 360's format anyway.( which I've also stopped watching.)

Last year I think I saw all the episodes of NASCAR 360. This year I saw quite a few but missed a few too. The funniest couple to watch on there is Kevin and Delana Harvick. Those two are always bickering, reminds me of me and my wife, lol.

I like checking out the driver's homes, but how the heck did Harvick get more money than God? He's only been in the series 4 years now, won a few races, but my God... his house is like the biggest I've seen out of all the drivers I've seen on there so far, and they are selling it because they are building a custom made home that they designed which is gonna be even bigger.

Meanwhile I'm sitting in my rinky-dink apartment watching this, ah well. Picked the wrong profession I guess, lol.
