Ok, at LuckyDog, there seem to be many connections to other leagues either through family, friends, or just respected competitors. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with that, quite the contrary.
Each league only gets better by watching all the rest and siphoning off the best ideas.
What is so surprising is the shear amount of leagues one member will join! Some people are affialiated with four or more leagues. Again, nothing wrong with it....you have my respect!
Each league has its own family of mini-leagues and that is plenty for myself. I think at LuckyDog, I play in about 12 leagues alone. Now you multiply that by 3-4 MAIN Leagues, and that is quite alot of Pick Deadlines to remember all year!
sometimes I wonder how I do it. in addition to running the leagues here, I participate in a number of other leagues as well. I have missed a few deadlines but try to keep a schedule every week of making picks.
Agreed. I originally planned on leaving Fascar because I couldn't handle making picks in 5 leagues every single week! (Not including Yahoo) After making all of my different picks, I pretty much have to root for about 20 different drivers on race day!
Compound the fact that Lou and I both have to prep each week, make picks by the deadlines and then score the results..............then prep the next week, make picks by the deadline and then score the results.............then prep..........well, you get the picture.
I pay closer attention to getting my picks done on time for the money leagues I'm in then the rest fall into place more or less and there are a couple where your picks are carried over so if you miss a week you still get to use last weeks. Sometimes that helps and sometimes it doesn't. (like the week following a road course race)
