Well I'm back from my Pocono weekend. Gee, nobody could post anything on the boards all weekend long??
Anyway, we had a great time at the race, I got tons of great pictures. I'll be posting some of them and writing up a little essay as well later in the week.
We met a few drivers and added a number of autographs to our growing collection.
I got Kyle Busch's in the garage area on a trading card.
Mark Martin's autograph on pitrow on a trading card. Scott Riggs on pitrow on my program.
Jeremy Mayfield at his trailer on a 1/24 diecast car, on my program and on a photo.
Brian Vickers at his trailer on a 1/24 diecast car and on my program.
Casey Mears at his trailer on a 1/24 diecast car and a trading card.
Dave Blaney at his trailer on a 1/24 diecast car and a trading card.
Greg Biffle at his trailer on a 1/24 diecast car and a photo.
Jack Roush at a Roush trailer signing Greg Biffle's car as well and a photo of Jack.
Kurt Busch at his trailer on a 1/24 diecast car and a photo.
Not bad.... 10 autographs during the weekend. That's a record for us. I spent a lot of money buying all those diecasts to get autographed, but hey, how often do you get the chance?
Anyway, the results for the Cup race are available, you can find them here:
Don't know... I dont (don't) remember the board going this long with no (without any, helps avoid double negative) posting.
Nobody's got nothing (anything) to say anymore?? (!)
I think everyone is still upset that I am still alive, when it comes to making the chase. Hence, the lack of posting. Plus, football camps will be (or have) opening up soon. Everyone is probably busy finding a fantasy league or participating in a draft. Or the hot wave has knocked off members' electricity. 90% of the posts involved Speed Racer, and he's on his hiatus.
Thanks for the grammar check, much appreciated. That's what happens when you post at 7:40 in the morning.
Well, Labonte emailed me yesterday. He wanted to know when he would be let back in the forum. Tomorrow is the one month mark of his "incident". I guess he recovered from his motorcycle hit that he told Greg about....
I just love a good cheesecake. I'm back from vacation so hopefully I will be back on the boards more often. Not sure if that is a good thing but it keeps me busy when I am at work.
i think the lack of activity is due to a couple of things.....1-bye week, 2-mini-camps of course (everyone is watching the drama there), and 3-(for me anyway) weekend full of family outings that included a trip to the local short track!!
Some is the heat. Some is people on vacation. I do not think it is because of football Leagues or mini camps. I can never get into football untill the fall. Just does not seem right thinking football when the temp. is in the 90's. Glad this is an off week I need to regroup. By the way Lou great pics. Think I might steal a couple to print out.
