Oh well, it looks like Lefflerfan will have to wait to break the streak record. After picking Elliott Sadler in the Nationwide race, Stephen saw his 12 week streak come to an end after Sadler finished 13th. It was a costly mistake for Stephen since xrays was able to eat into his points lead after he was successful in both series. The good thing for Stephen was that he was able to extend his Cup streak to 5 weeks. That allowed him to hold on to the points lead an extra week. There is now only a 17 point difference.

The good news is that even one though one long Nationwide streak ended, the 2nd longest goes on. quebecois fan made it to 11 weeks after picking Brendan Gaughan who just managed to finish in the top 10. Because of that, Rene scored the most points for week with 86. Now he is the one that everyone will be watching. It's going to be a tough challenge in Daytona though.

I spent the whole Nationwide race second guessing myself for taking Sadler instead of Menard. I figured I'd take Menard this week. That's what I get for looking ahead.

After the discovery of quebecois fan and xrays both using Kyle Busch twice in their current streak, the results have been fixed from those weeks. quebecois fan's scores were adjusted all the way from week 13, while xrays had his scores adjusted from week 15. It was costly for both drivers. xrays remains in 2nd place but he's now 127 points back. I'm sure Lefflerfan is loving that.  quebecois fan dropped 10 spots from 5th down to 15th, ouch.

Lessons learned.... pay attention to your drivers that you are picking each week, make sure you don't pick someone you've already used in the current streak. I'm going to have to pay more attention as well so those streaks don't carry as long.

The new current longest Nationwide streak belongs to President Lou with 8 weeks.... although I'm sure that will be ending after Daytona.
