Summer has been a bummer...cooler than average temps with rain. I have never seen the grass this green in Kansas in mid July. Now we are suppose to heat up..temps around 102 with heat indexes around 110. Unlike the east coast, we can handle it here!!! no big plans here..been to California already, and might hit Vegas in September. Next summer is off to Montana to spend a week with family in Glacier National Park.

Just fishing and yard work. Training new dog. Taking 5 grandkids for a week camping on Cape Cod first week in August. You are right Lou this was my favorite place to come and chat. Now its a no mans land. I guess I could say the Lakers, Packers and Bobby Labonti stink and raise somebody from the dead. Maybe some idiot could start correcting everyones English. But how bad do we want to see new posts.
Send some of that rain over here. I'm tired of looking at straw grass! We've been getting a little rain lately but need a lot more.
Unfortunately we don't have any big plans for the summer, just a few day trips here and there. Actually we're scheduled to go to Six Flags this weekend and meet up with some old friends that we havent seen in years. (hint, he used to be a member in this league)
And John, it's up to all of us to keep the boards alive so if you want to start with some smack talk, go ahead ,lol.
John your posts crack me up...I guess there is history here because I got all of your references!
Lou, we are all living it up in the summertime....don't worry as the weather cools off, people will gravitate in here again.....it seems we hit this lull every mid summer.
also Lou, would that be Zipperhead? let him know the L.D. misses him.
When not working it's camping & fishing here or Austin's T-Ball Games. The team he plays for is 10-0 with 6 games left. They pretty much have the championship in the bag which is totally cool because the kids have played together for pretty much the last 3 years.
I waiting for my Vaction which starts next saturday the 24th until aug 3rd. Which is during the ND State Fair which on July 24th Me & Austin are going to see KISS. I seen them 20 years ago without their makeup so, I'm really looking forward to seeing them with their makeup. Then there is a few demo derby's to go to which is alwayz fun to watch.
Before we know it the summer will be over -- it sure has went fast.
I miss those days Wendal. Every day was spent in anticipation of going to the ball field that night for games or practice. I know it takes all your spare time when the kids get to playing sports at that age but if you have a passion for both sport and your kids it's not a burden. At least it wasn't in my case.
So just how long is summer up in North Dakota? prolly much shorter than the dog days we get here in Oklahoma although as John stated earlier we are really green here this year when usually in late July all we see is brown.
