The final week of the streak to the finish season brought us something we haven't seen before, three players that had a shot at winning the championship. Stephen DiCaprio  had a slim lead over Terry Howell and not too far behind was Rat Perrotta.  Both Stephen and Terry missed with their Truck picks after picking Elliott Sadler and Austin Dillon. So even though Stephen did not gain any points, he didn't have to worry about Terry gaining any points on him either.

The real concern for Stephen was Terry coming in with a 13 week Nationwide streak. If he had been able to stretch it to 14 weeks, Terry would have become champion. Unfortunately for Terry he picked Kasey Kahne in troubled #38 car. The #38 car usually runs into some kind of trouble, either mechanical or accidents.  Homestead didn't prove to be any different, Kahne was caught up in a wreck and that killed any chance for Terry.

Stephen was not out of the woods just yet, Ray was succesful in both the Nationwide and Truck race and had closed in on Stephen. If Ray would be able to pick the top three drivers and Stephen missed, Ray would have taken over. Ray ended up picking the winner, Carl Edwards but Stephen picked Jimmie Johnson who finished in third place. That allowed Stephen to win by just 6 points and become the Streak to the Finish Champion for the 2nd time.

Congratulations to Stephen who will win a $25.00 gift certificate to NASCAR.com and an award on his page. Unfortunately this year the winner will not get an LROC spot since Dean Higley will be using it to return as the defending champion.
