The cars of Martin and four-time Sprint Cup champion Gordon will be fielded out of the same facility, now known as the 5/24 shop. Earnhardt Jr.'s Chevrolets will be prepared out of the renamed 48/88 shop alongside those of five-time and defending Cup champion Jimmie Johnson.
"This will improve us as an organization, across the board," said Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports. "We had a championship season (in 2010), but we weren't where we wanted and needed to be with all four teams. We've made the right adjustments, and I'm excited to go racing with this lineup."

I agree changing crew chiefs can either help or hurt a team..................but how does where they prepare do anything? None of the teams share anything more than basic info that they could get from rival teams.
Well when Mark started with Hendrick he was promised every resource to win a championship and last year at the end it was obvious that was not true.
I think Jr.'s market power dictates that he get info from the 48 he was not getting but I don't think it will help. Some say he is slumping but I wonder where his heart is? I know others will disagree but it is just my opnion.
We also have to remember JJ and Jeffy had a few bad words earlier this year and Jeffy may be gearing up for a run at a championship.
Bottom line Mr H has to keep all those egos happy and Kasey Kahne is only a year away! As a Martin fan I am bummed but it sure is interesting to watch.
I agree, they are doing everything they can for Jr. There is no disputing that.
I do think he is slumping though..........he shouldn't be but he is. How many times have we seen in the past some driver who 'doesn't have it anymore' all of a sudden clicks and starts winnning again.
